Tracking hours at work got a lot easier when I started just entering the amount of time I think a task should have taken, since the speed my #adhd brain runs at is always faster or slower than the clock on the wall.

Now I don't get penalized when I am working fast, and the client doesn't get penalized when I am going slow.

Tired of people unquestioningly buying into the framing of #DaylightSavingsTime, and not recognizing that it is actually #MorningPeople stealing daylight hours from everyone else.

We decided it was finally time to schedule someone to come and euthanize our elderly dog who has been rapidly declining over recent weeks and has had trouble even just standing upright.

So of course, with an hour until the appointment, he decides it's time to get up and start ambling around the house like there is nothing wrong.

I'm sure my doctor already knew the many benefits of the drug he was recommending, but it is crazy that he thought I might be more convinced by medical advice from the annoying widget that keeps intruding on my Google searches.

I can't say it increased my confidence when the doctor said "let's ask #AI about all the benefits of taking this drug!"

Just talked with my therapist about how I got into #accessibility work because I'm mortified by the idea of not building things correctly and thus inconveniencing people who are using assistive technologies, and how it is strange that I've never met anyone else who seems primarily motivated by those feelings.

She thinks perhaps my #ADHD has made me sensitive to the possibility of people being inconvenienced, since I have so much first-hand knowledge of how a little bump can completely derail someone's ability to finish a task.

I used to have trouble starting to write when faced with a blank page. Now I am filled with the fire of needing to prove that I don't need #AI to help me do basic human tasks.

As someone who is 46, I'm technically part of #GenX, even though I don't want anything to do with those fuckers or their view of the world.
