It's been quite a week. Hoping that hanging with my bestie today helps pull me out of this funk. Just getting started on the lawyer side of my divorce, and the pressure from my pottery apprenticeship came to a boiling point so I quit that too. Just need one more breakup of sorts to make it a trifecta.

I added another item to the project pile for $30 this weekend. Denon LA-2300 Laserdisc Player, with Power supply issues, and 4 LD's.. I'm sure a local electronics nerd I know can fix it though.

Catching up on house errands and getting some rest until I hang with my bestie later.
I wish my amp wasn't randomly cutting out the left channel. A power toggle usually resolves it quick enough. Still annoying.
Been waking up every 3 hours to check the kiln. This is my life.
Firing the big kiln requires checking the temperature every hour while I'm firing it, so I have an alarm set at 55 minutes past the hour for the next 24 hours.
What is sleep? We lit the first burner at noon today, the second at 18:00. Now I'm just monitoring the climb until 21:00, we might adjust air and gas at that point.
Of course because our system is... OLD. Its entirely manual and I'm using a stop watch to time the gas meter and looking at, and listening to the burner flames.

And of course, we're lighting the fire on the kiln today. I knew this but still needed to get out and shake my ass off. Going to be camping out at the studio for the next 36 hours or so..
We started off by going to a record shop and spending too much money, then to a tiki bar where I got absolutely smashed. The rave was definitely in a rented mechanics garage of some kind in the industrial district and we were the only ones dancing. It was BYOB and I always have a little cooler with Surf Sides and Soda so I just keep it rolling the whole night. I was home by 2am and somehow still awake at 6am.
