Using Double Talk for NVDA as of right now. Since Double talk wasn't really a part of my childhood as i didn't even hear it much. If I did, I don't remember it. But to me, I don't know why, it just, I don't know, sounds like a calming synth to me. I don't know what it is, but I'd use it. But the only thing is, I might fall asleep using that synth. As calming as it surprisingly sounds to me, if it gets to a point where I fall asleep every time I use it, that's going to be a problem. i don't know what it is that it does this, but it does this. I don't know what it is, but since I'm basically a new experience. Since DT never really happened to be a part of my life, this is basically a first time.

Since we keep getting all these synths for NVDA, i would wonder what we're going to get next? I kind of would like to see SVox classic ported to NVDA, with the Grace voice. Which, Grace basically predated Ava in the Vocalizer days. Who remembers that engine?

Hey @NVAccess we have a problem. My installed copy of NVDA which is 2026.1 is giving me these NVDA helper remote loader errors and I didn't even do anything to it. This seems to happen randomly after a few restarts and I'm not entirely sure what is going on

Recently I've been finding free sites to watch movies and TV shows and stuff. I'll personally say this, audio description is great for when you can have it. I'll give you guys that, but I do just as fine without, because in a lot of stuff, I can generally imagine and hear what's going on just by the sounds and what is going on. I don't entirely rely on it. i'll use it, if available, but not all the time. You guys can call me out, if you think I'm not appreciative of these tools like audio description, but i am, and I don't always need it, i"ll use if when I can. It's not a big of a deal if it isn't available. It's good if it's there, but if not, I just roll with it. Again, you guys can call me out, but i don't see the point in fighting over it. My opinion, good if it's there, but if it's not, no big deal. Well, for me anyway

So it looks like someone got clever and made new neural voices addons for NVDA. Even weirder, we now have voices like Microsoft Ava, which I'm using right now, and it takes some getting used to to realize she says things differently.

Using my Alpha copy of NVDA 2026.2 and wow I've gotta say it's impressive. As I don't see any RCs coming out that soon, which it's gonna take us a while to get there guys. Having portable copies is very nice. Especially if you want to test things.

I know guys, we've been calling microsoft microslop. But I think since they really are trying to change windows 11, I think there's a limit guys. It gets to the point where it becomes a little too redundant. I'm not saying stop using the term entirely, I'm just saying maybe cut down on the use of it a bit. Because I think they get the message now. You guys can agree or disagree with me here but I believe there's a limit.
