I don’t know which one of you little apps keeps opening a browser window to get permission to connect to an MCP server I’ve never cared about, but if you keep doing this I’m going to have to sell my computer and move the woods and live off tree bark and hopefully-not-poisonous berries.

In hindsight I probably should have spent less on the Node 75 and liked it just as much. Even if the hidden slider felt clunky, I could just pretend it wasn’t there and never touch it.

That thing probably feels really nice too, though “creamy” seems like an insane word to be throwing around for a keyboard. Still, big difference in feel vs. the old CODE keyboard I had long ago and the cheaper Keychron K1 V4 I used with my Windows machine.

I’ve spent a few weeks with the NuPhy Air75 V3 (Nebula Dark + Blush nano switches) and I really like the thing! Looks nice, sounds nice, footprint leaves plenty of room for mousing around.

The knob has been the only disappointment, stiff and awkward to use without hitting adjacent keys—I swapped it for a delete key.

I love hand-drawing favicons in Procreate for my personal projects. They’re quick, rudimentary little things but they spark joy.

When I’m typing in your site’s search field and a modal promotion pops up with an email field that takes focus, that is bad. Straight to jail for you.

There’s something preposterously American about checking your hair and outfit in the reflection of the giant SUV you double parked in a state park’s parking lot.

I got to be in my first improv show with a new (to me) troupe last night and it was a fun time with a great crowd. Afterwards I lined up with the performers near the exit, where one woman passing by gave me a hug and said “thanks for making the world lighter for a little bit.”

Every laugh that filled the room was wildly satisfying, but that lady made me feel like I’d been doing exactly the right thing at the right time in the right place in our universe.

Tried my second comedy open mic last night with way less preparation (hours instead of weeks) and I think it went okay. I sort of tell stories to fit a thesis like I’m writing a paper, and I need to figure out how to write jokes.

I was not cool enough to have a Walkman. Closest I got was a Talkboy and the Sharp MD-MS702 MiniDisc player+recorder.

Seeing photos of that MiniDisc player makes me miss the thing. Also buttons in general.

He protests bedding changes, so they often happen around him. Bed is a sacred place for him, and honestly I get it.

By weight, I now have a 2:1 ratio of rice to dog.

I did it, I bought the 25lb bag of sushi rice at Costco. I don’t know where the hell I’m going to store it but right now I’m too drunk on power to care.

I can’t believe I let that account just sit there for more than zero years. I’m not even sure how I did it.
