Puisque j'en parle, mon top des restos/snacks #vegan à #grenoble (restos parfois proposant autre chose) ⬇️:

https://www.locafegrenoble.com/

5. Brooklyn Slice Pizza.

Released yesterday, but only got to publish the blogpost and push to pypi today: happy to announce the version 1.16 of slixmpp, the #python #xmpp library.

This release brings two new XEPs into the fold, and has quite a few internal changes as well.

Happy to announce the 0.18 release of Poezio, a terminal XMPP messaging client.

This new release brings better compatibility with python 3.15, Message Retraction support, a new way of showing or hiding groupchat presences, and a lot of typing!

A more detailed changelog is available on my blog:

Just fresh out of the oven, release 0.16.1 of the poezio TUI XMPP client!

Mostly fixes and internal stuff, but also adds the ability to see redacted/moderated messages if you wish so – particularly useful if you are the one moderating –.

Hot take of the day: it's baffling to see so many of the individuals who tried to make programming less of a craft and more of a scientific process, suddenly pivot to something that has a lot more in common with demon summoning than anything else

While hoping and waiting for the bubble to pop, I have started writing about the planet-burning brain asbestos of our times, starting with issues related to sovereignty, independence and dependency on unsavory companies.

https://blog.mathieui.net/ai-and-sovereignty.html

This is a split from a mega-post that I have started writing more than a year ago and that I can’t seem to finish ever, so apologies if it does not reach a real conclusion on its own 🫠.

Trying to bring back some personal blogging vibe (haven’t done that in a very long while) by doing a recap of my hobbies 2025 https://blog.mathieui.net/2025-hobbies-wrapped.html

Hi @thelastpsion, I'm looking for rechargeable AA batteries that fit into the Psion 5, and I thought that this information is something you might have.

Somehow all the ones I have are a few micrometers too big and if I put them in the cover gets jammed and it gets pretty hard and risky to pull them out.

After my assembly #39c3 talk on the topic, here’s a more in-depth analysis on the #security of data and metadata in #XMPP : https://blog.mathieui.net/xmpp-and-metadata.html

I’m sure I missed a lot of things, but since the only reference on the topic is the - now defunct - infosec handbook website with the "admin in the middle" article, I guess that could be useful to somebody.
