A couple young deer were hanging out, and snacking on the fruiting trees by our driveway. Combination of dogs barking and me trying to get a pic scared them off. Got a fun one off one running through.

Ultimate cuteness:

My 1hr appt to clean out the wound and wire my jaw shut ended up with me unconscious for ~4.5 hours, getting a bone graft, and turning my face into a cartoon of someone who got pummeled mercilessly. My bottom lip is huge. Will get moreso tomorrow.

There were bone fragments in there from the break too.

I just want to take drugs and fall asleep.

After a quick exploration of something through the railing, the cat has joined us.

I was going to go sit in my recliner and just be depressed, but the black dog has convinced me that this is a better option.

Jaw update:
Saw the surgeon again. Says current status is “not good”, and that i have a minor infection.

To address the “not good” they will be wiring my jaw shut Thursday morning for 4-6 weeks. After reopening the wound and cleaning out the hole under it.

I am depressed, demoralized, and so fucking sick of this.

It’s kind of funny to see trans men wearing that stupid-ass mustache that you get at the beginning of male puberty just like all the teen boys at the beginning of their puberty.

It never looks good. It has never looked good, but they’re all so damn proud of it.

So like, you go dude. Enjoy that. Just know that in a couple years you’re going to cringe and want to burn all of the photos from this period. 😉

Was thinking about my bottom surgery earlier, and how I woke up in my hospital room.

I realized that some poor nurses probably had to lift my unconscious body at least twice to get it from the surgical theater to the final bed.

It's weird to imagine myself being manhandled like that with zero awareness.

Observing another quirk of my plural-adjacent 🧠:

Making a smoothie. Though I’d gotten out the cut fruit. Couldn’t find it. Then remembered “Oh yeah, I decided we should have the kale mix because we need greens.”

To me this feels like a singular fronting alter, making a decision for the plural system.

Surely most non-plural people don’t think this way. Right? It’s so normal for me though.

Honestly, I'd rather someone pirate my books without sending me a penny than be prevented from reading them.

It's not like most authors make enough to even buy groceries from their books anyway.

I've 100% accepted i won't make 💩. My goal is thus to just have as many people read them as possible regardless of how or where or money.

Would money be nice? Sure. Is it likely? No. So, free that book and give everyone a chance to read it.

I'm trying to acquire "Witch Who Courted Death"
by Maria Lewis + any of the books in this series really.

I literally can't buy it in digital format. Not even on amazon. The publisher has it locked down to Australia. I can't find any epub copies of it, or torrents.

An author has written a book which is really well reviewed and has loving fans and i literally can't read it because of fucking region locks, DRM, and bullshit capitalism.

Why should I bother trying for a publisher again?
