I didn't fuel, but should have

My wife (who is on the BlueSky) told me that she assumes Mastodon is just people asking questions and everyone answering with Linux.

Q: "What's wrong w/my cucumbers?"
A: "Have you tried installing Linux?"

And I couldn't contest that, really, not one bit.

Running out of steam. Long run, ice cream, dump run, now to find my second wind so I can get these doors and trim painted and knock this annoying project off my long overdue to do list.

I would 1000% rather be doing the annoying house projects I've not done than my actual job right now.

Snicker. Finally got to finishing the door / paint repair, and the paint doesn't match as the room is sun faded from years of exposure. It's better than the primer and spackle, but will never match. I'm not repainting the entire room, so it will have to suffice. Little annoyed, but generally ok. House is due for interior and exterior painting.

I did some overseeding of an area I want grass to grow. Now we get rain. Like I planned it.

Running buddies are running a race tonight... I wish I could go with them.
Timing is too early, too much. Annoyed. Instead I'll try to get a project done around the house. Ticking the list.

How do you order the chaos so that you aren't overwhelmed or find yourself sorting your spoons instead of doing the targeted task?

As I sit in my office looking at the desk to be organized, the pictures to hang, the trim to paint, the baseboards half assed, and all of it?

Last night I painted some trim in the main bedroom/bathroom. The cat had scratched it all to hell, and I’d replaced it a while back, but I never painted it. Now the trim is caulked, wood filled, and painted, and I need to repaint spots of the wall, but it’s 98% done, so many of these little annoying projects that I never seem to have enough time for.
That I do not quite as well as I'd hoped. Just gotta keep doing because entropy.

I see no end in sight for the projects/things to do.

Ordered my spouse a box for their B-day,

A little bummed about the move to boston, we will be giving up our season tickets. It will save us some $$, but we'll lose quite a bit of Ash's social life.

That thing where you do a project, feel good about completing it, but realize it was more of a return to status quo project, than a making improvements project.
