I don't get why people use Github.
Open source developers: You are locking your development process into a proprietary members only club with Microsoft deciding who becomes a member. Often, this includes something as important as reporting bugs, I've had open source projects refuse to take bug reports because I am not a member of this club. Do you not want people to use your software if they are not Microsoft fans? Or do you just like that your software is full of unreported bugs, because most of users give up when they have to jump through hoops to report them?
Proprietary developers: Your source code is your assets. Why are you handing it over to a company who has repeatedly been caught misappropriating other companies' software? And for non-US companies: Microsoft is a US company, why are you doing NSAs industrial espionage department's job for them?
