aaaaaand it took only four days for the data breach that included a private email address I only use for important things to get flooded with fake invoices.
Invoices I mostly know are fake because all the other contact details are out of date.
But yeah, go on, tell me how #ageVerification laws that would have forced me to update all these details (and add more) is gonna keep anybody safe.
I am so mad I could spit AI tokens.

Life hack: to end an unpleasant conversation, explain that they have hit their rate limit and will need to pay for more tokens or come back tomorrow.
Not sure why people are making a big deal about Apple’s autocomplete block lists. Of course, if you’re doing recommendations in a somewhat responsible way, you want manual tweaks. If anything, the leak shows the list is short and haphazard. I mean there are a lot of variations to “puke from the ass” (!) in the Dutch list, but still, the translation of “puke from the ass crack” (reet) is still suggested.

Germany's short-term cheap politics coming together at our kids' school:
The climate-change-induced heat caused glue to dissolve, so now the ceiling panels are falling down.
There aren't enough construction workers, due to bureaucracy and discrimination against foreigners.
Neither the school nor the city has money, so construction has to wait.
Meanwhile, the school keeps on pushing kids to get high grades so they won't end up in something like construction work.

I finally got rid of the disabled submit button on forms with invalid input! I knew it was wrong for a long time, but made it when I didn't know how to do it better.
Learnings:
- Separate error visibility from input validity
- Client-side validation is good
- Let the form show error messages upon an invalid form submission attempt
- Things are easiest if the form component contains the properties and logic for form field validation
- Just read: https://adrianroselli.com/2024/02/dont-disable-form-controls.html

If programming were a thing in the Star Wars universe, WFH technicians for the Death Star would be like, what if I spent the weekend making a website for the Rebel Alliance, maybe then I'd feel better about my job?
Current occupation for seventeen years is at an oil company. Achievements include things like getting more oil out of existing reservoirs. And he now volunteers to do programming for our climate protection nonprofit.
Many people are stuck in jobs in an economy they didn't create and I'd love this guy to not hate us and really do something for the climate (like er, quitting his job), but I feel I can't accept the offer. How do I even start to decline?
Teens aren't getting enough exercise and the problem has barely changed in 15 years

Stop ferrying them around in cars and make the streets safe enough for them to get about by active means themselves... It isn't rocket science...
Here's a fact I want you to carry with you for the next two years, and I want you to infect as many other people as you can with this fact.
The world's richest man spent about as much on this election, relatively speaking, as a median US voter under 35 would spend dining for two at McDonalds.
Half a billion dollars, relative to his reported wealth, is roughly equivalent to about $20 relative to the net worth of the median US resident under 35. This cannot be allowed to continue.
This was such a fun project to work on! So excited to lower the barrier of entry to broaden everyone’s font horizons 🙌
