Don't tape over the webcam.
Open the unit up and disconnect the webcam and the microphone.
Something I'd never expect living in the middle of nowhere.
The township is redoing one of the back roads around here. This is how I found out they recently bought a Kei truck as a work truck. I saw the little thing going down the road with equipment in the back.
The township, for as long as I've lived here (25+ years) has always bought new American-brand pickup trucks for their work trucks. Until now, anyway.
Interesting times!
I think I am officially mentally insane.
I'm thinking about a mobile HF antenna.
Does my mind go to the screwdriver? The Hustler? No.
I immediately thought of the 102" stainless steel whip with the spring on the bottom, attached to a ball mount, attached to a good autotuner.
When you really think about it, a ball mount isn't really that hard to install on a car.
The only kind of supremacist I am is a Yellow Pontiac Aztek supremacist.

One of my pet peeves:
Calling a request or a question an "ask".
Corporate newspeak. Damn it all to hell.

I have never purchased anything from Palomar Engineers.
Neither would I describe myself as somebody on the left "side" of politics.
But with this, Palomar has ensured that they will not have the pleasure of my business.

Every engineer that worked on the 2005 Chrysler 300 can go eat shit and die.
Dunno who needs to hear this but if you're a resident of Pennsylvania you can get a library card from the Free Library of Philadelphia. You do not need to live in Philadelphia, just Pennsylvania.
Just put this on the list of things I want.

I didn't know they were making oscilloscopes this compact nowadays. And with that I won't need to buy a seperate function generator. It'll be a big upgrade from my 20MHz Hitachi from the 80s.
For a unique shack wall hanging not found in any #HamRadio store, consider having this estimated ground conductivity map printed up by a local printer:
https://www.fcc.gov/media/radio/m3-ground-conductivity-map
It's public domain, as almost all US Government stuff is.
Had to put in a jackpost because there's some rust developing on the bottom of one of the columns in the basement. Only took 45 minutes and now the basement door closes right.
