it's new atipo font day!

So I'm going to retry once again to ask people in the field to help me, please RT if you care about getting a lil french 44 guy find a new job.

I've been doing web and frontend work for 18 years, in agency, startup and bigger ecommerce platforms, and I'm looking for a job around London, remote or hybrid, eventually office if that's the right one.

If you need a fullstacky frontend WHY NOT, we can chat, if you need FE who can C++ too we can chat, if you need someone good at frontend, react (or willing to learn) but willing to learn other frameworks or doing vanilla too. we can chat.

Basically if you need someone with web sensibility, working pair of eyes, who loves to work in teams, but who also hold knowledge in Other Things™ we 👏 can 👏 chat.

You'd do me a solid if you just helped a guy being happy (or just OK) at work.

People used to being on some social media seem to like saying things but not entirely saying what they mean, makes you look mysterious.

Also, always reply « Interesting »

I'm all for positiveness and non toxicity but what if your toxicity is a line of defense against useful idiots and shills? What if sleazebags use "non toxicity" in the discussion to be able to actually sell their oil? eh?

Again, the nazi bar…

ban everybody who says "the community"

I'm still laughing my ass off at the claim Britain has more cheeses than France :D

my teensy is starting to do some bleep uhh bam with a bit of sequencer.ToggleStep and sequencer.ModifyStep… next step is to make more voices and figure how every little formulas behave and give them a set of 6 to 8 parameters to change and voila, cheap man machinedrum to go with my octatrack.

It already does the modulo on every track length so I'm covered on that front.

French people, it’s France not Fraince stop saying it like the muricans: in france we dance

C’EST QUI CE GROS TARBA DE ERIC KAYSER QUI VEND DES SANDWICH AVEC DE L’EAU? MAIS PUTAIN UNE GARE SANS BISTRO J’AURAIS TOUT VU MAIS FOUTEZ Y UN PUTAIN DE PRET-A-MANGER TANT QU’ON Y EST

PUTAIN TON TRAIN A 50 MINUTES DE RETARD ET YA RIEN POUR SE COLLER UNE PINTE C’EST UN PAYS DE FOU

@Truck explain why old sceners are this daft (see previous rt)

Imagine being old and comparing llms usage to the first c compiler (same as mentioning the critics of the printing press) then asking someone calling him an idiot to show them their work thinking that because dude wrote some crack and few asm lines of rather mid prods that makes this person safe from critics.

Or like because my main deal is music I cannot find someone stupid.

By the way, a reminder that being able to code is not proof of smartness, you can be absolutely shit at reasoning about other things.

Places you visit once a year with a family sometimes become strange. Some members cannot come but still you remember the walls and the space to have been inhabited with so much siblings, souls.

Sometimes, I think it’s a curse to be lucky to have known joy, love or really, any good experience.

Intelligence on tap my fucking ass.

I understand we're all forced to do that shit at work but seriously, you don't see me trying my side hustle bidnezzz while the world is on fire.
I say fuck that shit, expose the bastards, stop talking to them and/or licking their arse, stop trying to negotiate.

The only way to get rid of that shit is by having a least some tiny wee bit of standards.

FFS, if you really want, stop following me if you think I'm a giant hypocrite because I'm literally forced to do that shit at work; It's not like companies are hiring, it's not like hiring is fucked up… you don't see side hustling slop.

So yeah, what… Ableton Live "cost too much", this is a lot of people getting a good enough salary in order to make a great music software that work.

You don't like Live? Fine, Renoise was started by a one-man great software dev (ex Ableton, btw) who took it from an already existing codebase and made it something awesome with a lot of efforts (two decades, two… fucking… decades),. I'm not against progress folks, I'm only respecting efforts made by amazing people I respect (and sometimes have met) who actually spent a lot of time of their life while the other wankers were just only caring about having their "ideas" pushed, without learning much.

Like, I can understand some people want to ask the little slaves to make their prototype real (i.e. you're a musician who need to try something, eventually I get it) but at least don't go and try to take a piece of the cake from the real adults doing real things.

I just hate that so many people who never had a programming job because they actually never cared of learning are now making music software as a side hustle (wasting tokens from their real hustle?) thinking they want a piece of the cake that is getting slimmer and slimmer for the actual teams who made software we used and cherished.

There is this lingering pestilence you know, the "I can have it too", without all the extra efforts because it's all about them. You have actual teams behind software that have tried to make good decisions for years (despite constant deprecations and bad decisions at OS level) so we can keep our dream alive and this is how we thank them?

Because "idea people" want their ideas to be done by others, idea people used to struggle to raise funds, so now they're fucking happy they have their new slaves at a fraction of the price.

lots of cool stuff at this loop sessions, did not know AAJA deptford at all, there's a cat in there who is the real mayor of the place, got to feel something different in my life, being with humble beat makers. And @synte made everyone go "WUT" by just livecoding his entry, hardcore mode.

le résultat after three hours fighting with a hard crate to deal with!

representin' renoise!

Every month I must be posting the same message: how do people figure a job change? How do people rebound from situations they feel stuck in? How do you make new friends after 40.

I still havent figured and gotten any answers and my friends, I think I came to the conclusion that if you are not embracing the future of shit to come you are going to hit a wall with me so at least maybe we can make new friends once at that wall.

I don't think people realise how weird this experience was… we were not sure but she had her kids that we matched against online pics and she had security around her that were actually sitting on tables around her.

At one point I thought: this is going to be a bad reputation for that restaurant.
