Stickers for sale 🤖 🪓
I made these retro/classic style "Kill Your AI" stickers based on the "Kill Your TV" stickers that were very popular through the 1970's-90's.
High quality vinyl with extra laminate top layer. Highly water and weather resistant. 3.25"(w) x 2.75"(h).
Just $5/ea.
Resist AI slop in style and support my ability to pay rent 🙂
Please boost for visibility 🙏🏼
Kitchen sinks should have foot-pedals for water control, don't you think?
I identify as a primarily _________ person.
AI is a tool just as much as a thief is an entrepreneur.

I've deployed the robots.txt from below link to some of my infra and it's awesome to see AI bots being blocked from scraping content now.
Highly encourage others to do the same if you want to fight back against AI bots not only stealing human-created data from your web, Masto and other servers, but also eliminate a big chunk of bandwidth & compute that are being chewed up by these asshole companies.
I just wrote a little bash script to help automate live VM migrations between hypervisors (using libvirt/kvm/qemu style virtualization).
I really miss being able to focus on this kind of progress with my infra. Chasing money gets tiring... I just want to build cool things that people will use.
Apparently Square checking accounts don't accept paper check deposits.
I'll say it again: Square CHECKING ACCOUNTS don't do CHECK DEPOSITS.

"Months of rolling outages have pushed some Russians back to walkie-talkies and pagers, sparking anger nationwide and chipping away at Putin’s approval ratings."
Let's not think this cannot happen elsewhere in the near future. Be prepared.
LoRa (MeshCore / Meshtastic / Reticulum / etc.) are gaining a LOT of steam lately for completely off-grid, secure text communication. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LoRa
Why must I keep reminding my dog that eating is not a spectator sport?
I sold a bunch of anti-AI stickers to my local record store yesterday in anticipation for Record Store Day today.
The owner was telling me about a recent marketing meeting with our city involving outside consultants. They were pushing every business owner in the room to use AI for everything.
At one point he got up and said, "If you mention AI one more time, I'm walking out."
He explained that he sells ART, and he is 100% against AI use in his business.
Anyone have experience running their own Pixelfed server? Care to comment on its stability, its upgrade path and general DevOps/sysadmin friendliness?
I spend more time every day:
I'm sitting here on my new self-hosted Mastodon instance with a fraction of my followers ☹️
My profile was formerly at sdf.org, but their servers were having issues during the migration process and apparently brought only 2 of my followers over. A handful more have manually followed me since (thanks to you current followers).. I think I may have to wait 30 days to initiate the migration again since they haven't responded to my PMs or emails yet ☹️
A local nonprofit art and music space had a fundraiser to build a skate park in town.
Local artists painted a bunch of decks to auction off. This was one of my favorites (Q*bert).
