I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as “slavery,” is in fact GNU/slavery, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus slavery.

But hopefully the right people can get in power just with a different platform and change it anyways. An extra $2K-5K in my pocket would certainly be nice lmao
I think American healthcare is not a priority change because the *majority* of Americans already (individually) receive the same or better healthcare than in most European/etc. countries from both a financial and quality perspective.
I mean yes everyone would be wayyyy better off financially with more efficient universal healthcare, instead of just comparable, and it would also be way more equitable. But equity doesn’t matter for most voters unfortunately, and the finances are simply not a pressing issue for most voters either in the same way daily price changes like fuel and groceries are.
Like even if the USA could save $5,000/person/year on healthcare, I think people don’t really conceptually think about theoretical gains like that when consumer purchasing power is already 2nd in the world. An extra $2K-$5K in people’s hands wouldn’t be bringing most people in the country up to a useful standard of living, it would just make the gap in spending power compared to other countries laughably wider in a way that probably seems impossible.
So it is basically a tyranny of the majority situation for the people who do actually lack access to care. Healthcare is not really a big motivator for people to go out and vote 🙃
It’s interesting, I feel like the voice in my head intuitively feels like it is *coming from* inside my head, like between my ears.
But is that just a societal thing because I know what the brain is? I was just randomly thinking about ancient societies with a cardiocentric point of view like Ancient China and Egypt, and how they might’ve experienced it. I suppose it probably has to be, but never thought about it before.
Hell yeah it’s fantastic to wake up to great news instead of just another CVE lol
Anyone ever use these in memory mode for a Mastodon instance? Do I experiment, yea, nay? 👀
New sshole PoC just dropped!

@benroyce @danirabbit When the choice is "vote for a slow descent into fascism" or "vote for fascism from tomorrow", you vote for the slow descent, at least you can work on reversing that platform.
And then you use the Primaries to iterate, and choose more progressive candidates next time.
Rinse and repeat.
And if you dont think this can possibly work, just realise this is what yhe Republicans have been doing for the last 50 years.
Trump didn't appear out of nowhere, he is the result of constantly chipping away at your Constitution and the protections it offers, for decades.
And he isn't the endgame, either.
Whoever comes next (and no, it isn't Vance!) will actually be competent at bringing in Fascism.
Corrupt and evil as fuck, but they will be competent.
So fight, iterate, keep working, and try to make a better future than the present.
Not gonna lie, I'm so bad at keeping track of time/days that I'm appreciative of the state of #Minnesota reminding me it's the first Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM every month lol
Man, what an economy. $500 million won't even buy you a Republican Congress anymore.
Maybe this was already talked about by everyone and I'm just slow, but what da hell is this AI-ass graphic 404 Media is using here? Not from the cited source and not captioned with a citation, so I assume they made it?

I'd post a picture of all my write-in candidates for the judicial elections just for laughs, but upon further research it appears this "could" violate state law lol
TL;DR: The New York Times has filed a lawsuit against Brave, claiming the company acts as a distributor of stolen news content by enabling paywall blocking and partnering with AI firms. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2026/11/nyt-demands-brave-shut-down-its-paywall-blocker-and-end-deals-with-ai-firms/ #law #tech #legaltech ⚖️ 🤖 #autosum
Is there a way to keep track of how many followers I lose when I start posting more actively, or am I just supposed to count that myself? 😂
is #balatro all luck or am i just bad at it lol
I'm surprised even on Mastodon almost all searchable discussions of ADHD meds are negative posts, addiction-related, comparisons to meth, etc.
It's a shame people in general seem reluctant to talk about medications that help them. Anyways, I was only searching hashtags because I feel like it's a scam adderall gets prescribed more commonly than dexedrine and wanted to see if anyone else agreed 😂
I love Standard Time. It no longer feels like it's later than it should be every single day. I look at the time on my phone, and it's the time it should be.
