I have an iPhone 13 and the battery capacity is at 84%.
I’m good for another year or two I bet. I’m not buying none dat shit.

@thesaigoneer I just uploaded a tasty new mango to try out. 😄
The latest #hyprland 0.55.1 release along with #noctalia 4.7.7 and an updated #nwg-dock-hyprland 0.4.9 all go in #slackaroni
Dropped the old lady off at the hair salon (an hour away from home) and the first place I go is 7-11 for some sweet sweet taquitos. How I miss thee, junk food.
Screenshots don’t seem to function yet, so I had to do it the newb way…
OBS Note: you MUST be using pipewire to screen record, it will not operate unless pipewire is in use. And the setup wizard complains about the encoder.
OBS doesn't ship any arm64 builds, nor flatpak, so it's still not 100% on the platform, but in my use cases... it's worked fine. That said, they don't officially support arm64 yet.
.... or 'slpkg install obs-studio' pick your poison, I've made it easy for either package manager to get ahold of OBS. ;)
ok #slackwareaarch64 #slackaroni users can now do a 'slackpkg install obs' to get your hands on the latest OBS-Studio packages.
Maybe I’ll rebrand my repos as “free DLC for your Slackware system!” Addon packs, with hot new features, level ups, and double experience!*
* Not legal to be downloaded if you live in California.
Someone asked me if I knew how many people use my repos for #slackware and my only guess was 5. I honestly have no idea though, I don’t really check server logs anymore nor do I have any kind of software installed for that. I don’t want anyone’s data and I regularly purge old logs anyway.
If people find useful things, then great. Awesome even, but I don’t need to know anything unless its broken. 😁
Before 0xBob put gnome 41 on SBo it was a group of us putting it all together. I kept on moving to 42 on 15.0 then (it took a little coaxing) before moving to current and pushing to 43. I've kept my repo current since, even after dropping my gnome-liveslak and handing that over to the GFS project since. But outside of arm64, I don't offer it as a pkg repo, but I do offer webkitgtk (which is 90% of the build time). But GFS has gnome covered, maybe I'm wasting my effort...
Should I drop #gnome from my repo? Does anyone use/build it?
I sometime think I'm wasting my time keeping it alive, and maybe it's better served by gfs than a slim-desktop only thing that I do. With ver 50 coming up, I need to decide what to do with it I think.
I’ve uploaded the Apple Silicon build of #mame 0.285 for #macos so all us old folks can emulate & relive the relic computers we grew up using on our fancy new computers. Or even play games we were too poor to get thru in the arcades. (Using sdl2 framework, of course). https://sdlmame.lngn.net/
Its also mirrored on github somewhere, but me no link to them here. Intel builds will follow later on.
There’s a new #hyprland release today, 0.53.0 and I’ve not touched it yet but I’m hearing of complaints about how they changed things. I’ll look at it later, but I’m unsure if the update is currently viable yet for nwg and such, but we’ll see in the end.
I pushed a patch for 'nwg-panel' which patches out the calls to 'playerctl' as something has broken it, and I'm not sure what. I have looked through their repo and there doesn't seem to be any patches or even reports of the break, so I guess I'll have to get on that. I'd be curious if nwg is broken on Arch, but I don't have that kind of time on my hands to test it.
I’ve gotten questions about a broken #kde6 desktop after to upgrading 6.5.0. So for those who haven’t updated yet, please ensure you install the new package “knighttime”, you’ll just get a black screen without it! #slackaroni https://slackware.lngn.net/#kde6
This random person who emails me about support for MAME on macOS is now asking me about .NET apps, compiling and running them. One has nothing to do with the other, and I don’t know a damn thing about any Microsoft-based tech. I’ll try and help, but that’s completely foreign to me. 😆
I just read that studies have found playing Tetris after a traumatic event of some sort alters the minds memory of the event and can prevent PTSD. And now I know why nothing bothers me, all I did as a kid is played Tetris.
A few hours ago #slackware pushed the poppler 25.10 update and I’ve now pushed rebuilds for #kde6 as well. Cheers! https://slackware.lngn.net/
