I suppose if i obsessively do something consistently i can get better 😀

Who knew 🤪

6hrs from life

Accidentally picked a hard pose then wonder why I suck and everything is wrong 😵

Getting better… if there’s one thing i can count on.. it’s my hyperfocus / obsession mastery orientation 🤪

Cropped out a lot that’s totally out of place

Day 1 of the 3 days session with my own model in my London studio 😵‍💫

I paint so slow 😵‍💫 but omg LOVE this pose and my model is amazing

Day2
Block in colors

Workshop is this week which is fun. I’d like to think I’m flexible / open enough that I’m still welcoming different ways of doing things 🤪

Day 1 - drawing required 🥲

Continuing this #WorkInProgress

I don’t know why people say painting is “relaxing”, it’s probably some of the most intense observational exercise ever.

“Is this a bluer black or warmer or yellower, it looks bluer here and more yellow there, a bit of red here, was that colbalt blue? Yes a touch, more ultramarine here” - and that’s JUST the shadows

🥲😵😵‍💫

Portrait fun timez

I’m fairly convinced that my mild faceblindness somehow magically helps with likeness drawing / painting 🤣🫠

The realization that perhaps pleinair is more romanticized than anything lol, this shit is hard work and omfg it feels like low key failure almost every time

😅🥲 #pleinairpril #pleinair

New beginnings 🇬🇧💕

Studio actually set up now. Am I a London artist now 😅✨

Glowing ☺️ because I’m exactly where I should be. But even so, nothing is free, time to work work work 😮‍💨👩🏻‍🎨

In America, it’s “criminal” to be soft. In fact, they would rather you be a aggressive exploitative greedy pedophile than be a soft human being who would say sorry to strangers for bumping into them.

Aside from the impracticality of such a culture, where inevitably it’ll eat itself alive literally… it just seems deeply inhuman.

Things I enjoy about being on this side of the ocean 🇬🇧

Polite people - I’ve been so used to unncessarily aggressive Americans that I find myself bracing for rude, racist confrontations in various situations, simple things like standing in line, navigating crowds etc, but here ppl actually make way for each other and apologizes!

Shocking. I know.

Reasons for leaving places are many, but the most important one often is - I don’t like how those places was changing me, what I had to be to survive

Also what’s up with fireworks? So very boring… why the excitement?

Yeah… i honestly don’t get it 😅

May be able to just get away with 4 colors (no black!) for this 🥳
