I hate sharpening. I managed to sharpen 3 chisels and my plane iron in about 6 hours.
I need a better way to do this. I have water stones (220/800 and 4000/8000). They are messy, need constant flattening, and the edges of the wider blades take forever.
How does everyone else do this?

The Mac Centris is finally recapped, refurbed, and running A/UX. Now to play around with it. 😁
I think I found the problem with my Mac LC III's power supply...
Couldn't figure out why some things had lights (ZuluSCSI and network card) but not the system board. The yellow is the 12V connection...and it's corroded and broken the pin off. All the 5V stuff was working.
In a timely turn of events, the replacement pins and connector come today.
Today has been...not a good day. Two members of my family are in different ERs for unrelated reasons. If you have any good vibes, I could use a few.

I like the idea of fixing and preserving old hardware. I've seen computer models I owned in major museums behind glass and it always made me sad that they weren't being used. I like the idea that you could do common things without needing all the processing power we use today. I like that much of this hardware is from before they decided what a computer would be. Lots of experimentation and trying new things that eventually got phased out in favor of conformity.
I have some old CRT monitors that I would like repaired, but I've never worked with voltages like that. Everyone says don't do this if you don't know what you are doing. I like living and avoiding major injuries. How do I learn so I can do this safely? I don't have anyone who's done this to help me.
Anyone know a good PLA that closely matches the Sun Microsystems Blue Gray color from their cases? Trying to print some replacement parts for stuff that broke and having some difficulties matching the color.
Edit: this no name Chinese PLA is the closest I've found. It is slightly darker but you can only tell if it's right next to an original piece. https://a.co/d/1eHxLiZ
