As I'm looking for work and hoping for an environment where I'm not flying solo anymore, I thought it would behoove me to do some brushing up on software development in teams -- perfect timing for @grimalkina 's fascinating book to arrive!

Hey Fediverse, I’m looking for full-time software development work, remotely or in-person in Toronto. I’ve been running my own company for with a friend for fifteen years, written lots of code in lots of languages; mostly Clojure for webdev, but also Swift for iOS apps; pretty much whatever needs doing. Looking for something with a bit more stability than the small business route as my life changes speed.
My resumé is here: https://occasionallycogent.com/James%20Cash%20CV.pdf Please let me know if you know of any good places for me! #getfedihired

@penaddict delightful typo in the member’s newsletter today, describing July as the “clam before the storm”. Very cute mental image 😅 Enjoy your holidays!

@jenn I'm not sure if this is a deliberate bit or I've somehow done something weird, but on bugsrock.online, the "shop now” and other buttons on top of the image link to localhost:8080?

Wow, switching to a self-hosted GoToSocial was actually quite easy! Simple instructions & install, migration seemed to go pretty seamlessly too.
