Half-time preferable as I'm unsure how many hours per day I can actually work at the moment given my health and disabilities, but I should be able to switch to full-time at some point.
My primary area of expertise is Linux (mainly systems programming, incl. kernel dev, mostly around the graphics stack), but I'll gladly pick up anything. I can learn a new programming language and jump into any codebase quite quickly, no matter what said codebase is (I've worked on anything from web browsers to Java HotSpot). I have trouble figuring out how to write a CV, and the only professional experience I have is a year of Java Backend development, for one decently big software company, so I'm not expecting much, but I figured I'll start asking on fedi anyway. I desperately need money. I'm homeless in Germany with a very low income, so I have issues reliably getting food and a roof above my head.

For those that don't know, I called out the muccc hackerspace for someone there making us feel physically unsafe and opening the window intentionally to hurt us with cold air (we have severe cold sensitivity), and we learned later that it was cuz me and my gf (former muccc member) arrived earlier than them at the hackerspace (10 in the morning) and laid down for 2h. So the shithead immediately assumed, 2 transfems lying in bed = sex. Additional information:

I need to find some way to get emotional support (IRL cuddles, someone to talk to during them IRL), executive function help (I cannot shop alone, talk to delivery entities, cook, clean, shower myself, wash my hair, brush my hair, shave, even changing clothes is hard), and physical help (I have ME/CFS, so I have issues walking too far or carrying anything, even my own purse is too much for long distances)

Atm I am stable while the entity I've been relying on is able to function, but idk how long that's gonna last, and I am no longer able to provide the emotional support they need to function themselves and plan around when they are unable to help. Aka, not at immediate risk of suicide, but unknown how long that lasts.

Additionally, I have some meds that help me push myself further, but the crash from them is pretty bad. They do let me survive difficult times and provide emotional support and get thru a day, but with a lot of pain at the end, and I'm running out with no way to get more (I'm in Germany, it's a BTM medication - Attentin / Dextroamphetamine)

I need to find some way to deal with this. I don't really have the emotional support I need, maybe if I had it, I would be able to provide it again and plan around the other issues I have. Or maybe not, and I literally need basically a caretaker for the time it will take me to recover from the emotional burnout (I've been pushing myself to be emotionally available and supportive for a month, despite not being able to, just by forcing myself, and it has finally caught up to me)

Another possibility might be getting reliable access to the meds both me and the entity living with me need, which should at least buy us a decent amount of time. Issue is, they are all BTM (pain killers, stimulants, antidepressants), which makes them incredibly difficult to obtain. I do have an income (1700€/month), but I need basically to convince a doctor to sign off on the paper. I can in worst case get a few 10K€ one-off for this, but I do not know how to navigate German healthcare system and the worst part about it is that my deadline is way too short for Germany.

So, basically, I mentally overworked myself to the point I'm no longer able to live the way I have been. I am unable to take care of myself and unable to really function enough to emotionally support the entity that I've been relying on for executive function.

I have asked many times everywhere and everyone I could think of for help, and nobody could or wanted to, before things got to this point.

Now things are at a point where I am more likely to count the time I can stay alive like this in tens of hours rather than days.

EDIT: I have a plan! It's not great, I'm betting on a lot, and it will only buy us a bit of time, but it is worth trying as it does not require a third entity to continuously support us for a longer period of time, but we will still need help.

We need medication. We have money, more than enough of it, but we live in the EU, therefore money is actually not the problem, but rather finding a doctor that is willing to sign off on the prescription is. Germany or Czechia, either is fine (I have citizenship in Czechia, entity I live with has in Germany)

There is two of us, for a month (x30):

We need Tilidine XR (1000mg x 30 to be safe, though minimum is 100mg x 30), Lisdextroamphetamine (400mg x30, we need to figure out the dosage. Minimum 160mg x30. Goal is to replace our primary usage of Dextroamphetamine), Dextroamphetamine (400mg x30 preferably, minimum 80mg x30, our current primary stimulant and antidepressant)

There are a few more things we are trying out to have an easier time, and having access to any BTM med just by going to some doctor, telling them the PZN, then paying them and then for the med at a pharmacy, all within like a week, would be the most ideal outcome. Amount of money is basically not an object short term, and figuring it out cheaper stuff long term is only for after this works. The primary object is time.

Basically, we are asking for help with navigating the German medical system, to find a doctor willing to be reasonable. Can travel anywhere whenever, and pay several 10K€ if need be. I do not want to spend an hour justifying to them why I take what meds or be their experimental bunny - if they were actually good at their job and I had energy, I would have no problem justifying to them my choices, and my general methodology, but I don't have energy and I don't actually need them to be good at their job, I just need them to get me an appointment as soon as possible, sign off the paper, and be done.

The amounts were determined as follows:

• primary amount is the maximum possible amount we are likely to use within month, so that we can safely figure out dosages and don't have to conserve anything
• minimum amount is basically the average or slightly above average usage, or estimation thereof, based on the way we currently dose them

Sure, the basics I learned were. I was taught to walk, but I learned to run by myself.

This post feels like a Software Engineer forgetting about hackers. Not developers. Those that hack on code. Make it do things. Understand it, fix it, break it.

I don't know if I miss the simple life when we had documentation, stackoverflow answers, and whatnot for whatever we do. When we could just google or ask someone our questions.

Nowadays I have an easier time just reading the source code than googling. Google usually doesn't have answers anyway.

How does the JVM handle signals? Read the code. How to talk to the GPU on Linux without a library? Read the code. Working around obscure hardware issue? Read the code then write a workaround. A CSS bug in your browser? Read the code.

No codebase is holy, it's all just code. Code with often the amount of entities that spent the time to understand it countable on a human's fingers.

Freely available resources and people are not a given, they are a privilege. One not all of us have. One many of us don't have. I have an extensive network of entities and obscure chatrooms that I can just ask random obscure questions and have a 5% chance of getting some answer that's sometimes useful.

And docs? Ha. Haha. Hahahahhhaha. Lmao. Our docs are staring at strace dumps, disassembles, and source code or decompiled stripped C with inlined vtables all day.
