I got two fountain pens and two inks, then put the green ink in the brown pen, and the brown ink in the green pen, but turns out I prefer both the brown ink AND brown pen and don't want to waste ink by emptying and refilling it, so now I'm vaguely annoyed.

I couldn’t get video but I just saw a half dozen hummingbirds apparently having a turf war. The buzzing of their wings sounded like large hornets as they chased each other. Idk maybe it was an orgy.

When one avenue of finding a new therapist seemingly fell through, I am trying another with a temporary backup in mind if the second doesn't work out. I am trying REALLY hard to not completely fall apart as the weather cools, especially because all the stuff outside of my control (like how badly my sister is doing right now, and my cat's illness) is SO hard.

Similarly I saw my first wild mantis last week and got excited because that's a cool bug, but then looked it up and it was a European mantis. There are smaller native mantises here, I hope I see some eventually...

Edit: it looks like there actually aren't any native mantids in Quebec, only introduced ones!

As I look up more and more wild plants I come across, I find more and more of them are introduced (and plenty are actively invasive). It's started feeling like a blow each time, like ANOTHER Eurasian one? I keep wondering what should exist in that niche instead, what native plants are missing.
