So only about 30 years after it was released, but I've beaten Super Mario 64!

My parents coming to visit? What makes you think that?
Oh this vacuum cleaner in my hands for the first time in weeks, pure coincidence I assure you.

The breaking changes in #Hugo do drive me crazy if you're not using it on an almost daily basis. I wanted to update one page in my blog, and since I last used Hugo it's gone from version 0.159.0 to 0.163.0, this now means the following things don't work:

• Raw .html pages, I have to add a new config option to allow what is now considered insecure files to be added (0.162)
• I can't use .Paginate on my 404 template page either (can't see the changelog for that)
• At least there's a deprecation warning for .Site.LanguageCode being deprecated.

I wish they'd finally adopt semantic versioning, so you can prepare yourself and know when you're going to have to do extra work to get things to work again.

Ahhhh that's better.

Uh oh. We're running dangerously low on #coffee

The sticker's still correct: know what's a nice price? 3.83€ (delivered) on eBay. Feels illegally cheap at this point.

Gods save me from over-stretched management metaphors.

I've added my most important recipe to my cookbook collection: My Mum's cheesecake. Tested the steps this weekend to great success: https://cookbook.henryleach.com/cheesecake.html

Anyone else remember when #Lego didn't have massive IPs to draw on, and came up with their own random stuff? Been digging out some of my old Lego for the children, and remembering the stories and worlds we imagined to put the the sets we got into.

So close, but not quite. Using a heat gun borrowed from a colleague I managed to remove one of the two stuck pedals on my bike. The last one though, just won't budge, and the flats are now so rounded off from trying that it's impossible to grip.

So I've had to order a replacement set of cranks/front sprocket, some pedals, and lots and lots of assembly grease (shakes fist at whoever assembled this bike 11+ years ago).

Playing the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, at Child B's request, while making lunch does make it feel much more dramatic.

Me: cuts vegetables
Ominous: Dun dun, duh duuuu
Me: opens oven to get rolls out
Triumphant: Dun Dun, duh-duh-Dun-Dun, duh-duh-DUN-DUN!

I know you're all desperate for #BandcampFriday recommendations, so how about obscure #PostRock from Nottingham, England? In which case may I present the suitably epically named '...and Stars Collide'?

I only know about this band because one of its members was a friend and course mate. He gave me the mp3s years ago, and they occasionally come up, and remind me that they're really nice.

The pricing is also fire sale cheap (I'm guessing someone found a box of unsold CDs in the back of a cupboard?), so feel free to top up the suggested minimum of you can.

Oh great, #Gmail has added reaction emojis to email. Now my one haven of actually useful and manageable messages is going to be flooded, like chat, with endless unimportant notifications.

First #CDFriday in a while, this time the up tempo, good natured (with trumpets for good measure) "It's Great To Be Alive" by Fake Problems. Hopefully, along with some coffee, it'll boost my spirits before today's meetings start.

Awww rats. Saturday's a public holiday. Holidays are great, except: Sundays everything is shut, so if both parents are working, Saturday is the only day you can get out to shop and buy stuff, but if that's now closed.

Germany should get with the times and do it like the UK does, where holidays that would land on the weekend get pushed to the next Monday.

I was going to say, I don't know how I got the idea, but I think @rtfm , you mentioned it on Saturday?
