Can we all please agree on a “that’ll do” point for everything?
I don’t need a new phone with a 128 megapixel camera, monolith sized screen and enough storage to keep a copy of the British library. I want the thing to fit in my bag or pocket and just…work.
I don’t need constant improvements to software, I just want it to work and not spy on me.
I don’t need a car that will pretend to drive itself, I need a car with low or no emissions and good public transport or cycling routes.
We all know the “that’ll do” point and we all know we’ve gone past it.
The only things we should constantly strive to improve is healthcare and environmental regeneration.
But I suppose that doesn’t fit into the tech bro profit model.
