@anilineapps This may be an unusual request, but could you consider enabling Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE) for Indigo? It’s a security feature added with last year’s iPhones (also supported on relatively recent iPads and Macs), which protects against more memory corruption exploits. Since Apple mentions social media apps as a great example target for this feature, I think it’s probably worth looking into. There’s a flag in Xcode. https://youtube.com/watch?v=iYUMr3Y9fAU

@Iconfactory I’m getting errors for two feeds in Tapestry. “https://blog.iconfactory.com/feed/“ returns a 403. “https://furbo.org/feed/json/“ says “SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unrecognized token
'＜'”.

@bigzaphod Is the next TestFlight build in the works or is pesky app review holding it hostage again? 👀

@bigzaphod This may be an unusual request, but could you consider enabling Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE) for Tapestry? It’s a security feature added with last year’s iPhones (also supported on some other relatively new devices), which protects against more memory corruption exploits. Since Tapestry uses third-party code (connectors) and loads arbitrary content from the Internet, I think it’s probably worth looking into. There’s a flag in Xcode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYUMr3Y9fAU

@bigzaphod A major shortcoming of the Activity timeline is the refresh frequency. When I was talking with you and a few users last night, I had to keep refreshing all feeds manually as I saw notifications arrive from Mona, just so I could reply to new mentions and see new likes. I’m not sure there’s a way to solve it until you implement notifications for Tapestry (which I think you said is planned).

@mipstian Is there any new information you can share regarding the YouTube delay issue I reported last month?

I use #TapestryApp so much that I recently had a dream in my sleep, in which I went into the appearance settings and there were new theming options. Pretty nice dream, not gonna lie… 🫠

@bigzaphod Opening video attachments in the timeline now crashes the macOS version.

@Iconfactory Is there a way to reply to someone’s Mastodon post or comment, but also attach a native quote to that reply without leaving Tapestry?

@Iconfactory I’m confused. You added the ability to pause video or animation attachment when writing alt text — which is good — but you also added autoplay and looping to the thumbnail in composer view and I can’t find a way to pause that.

@Iconfactory @bigzaphod Over the past I’m not sure how many days I’ve been getting a lot of “No response after 60 seconds” errors.

@Iconfactory It’d be very nice if the compose screen supported drag-and-drop to add attachments.

@bigzaphod Do we have a chance of another Friday build today? No pressure of course. I’m just excited and curious about the various “buttons”. 👀

@Iconfactory It’s nice there’s a button to delete a post from the context menu, but I think there should be a second button to edit your own post without deleting it.

@Iconfactory I'm getting “Something Went Wrong” errors when opening Mastodon threads on Mac. Is it expected until the new build of Tapestry with replies is out? Apple is holding back the Mac build and not iOS again, correct?

Also, I can't believe replies are finally coming. It's a feature I've been very much waiting for. I know some people treat Tapestry as a rough overview of the internet or as an RSS reader (maybe plus YouTube), but I want to increasingly minimize jumping to other apps.

@Iconfactory Setting the system wallpaper does not work in Wallaroo on macOS Golden Gate. I'm currently on beta 2. I didn't check if it worked on beta 1.

@mipstian I'm testing something as a workaround to the "YouTube delays videos in Mac Safari when using Wipr" problem. Seems to work. Maybe it can help implement a fix faster.

1. Leave all Wipr blocklists and Wipr Extra enabled for all sites, including YouTube.
2. Install uBlock Origin Lite for Safari from the Mac App Store.
3. Give that extension permission to access only YouTube.
4. Turn off the blocklists uBlock has on by default.
5. Enable "uBlock filters – Experimental.”
6. Delay is gone.

@soapboxsoftware Could I have Indigo remember the page I was on and/or default to the page that's first in the Tab Bar? Currently Indigo defaults to Timeline, even if I was previously in another tab and despite the fact that I have Notifications first in the Tab Bar.

@mipstian Filtr is not working on iOS 27. I tried two regular device restarts, one force device reset, multiple Filtr resets, turning off iCloud Private Relay, switching to a cell network and reinstalling Wipr. It still says “Deactivated”.

I’m not using a DNS profile or VPN (only iCloud Private Relay). I don’t think that anything is actually blocking these domains.

macOS Golden Gate also has this issue.

@Iconfactory Sorry to bother you, but I want to make sure that you have seen this report, because you responded to one I sent later about other things, but not to this one.
