USA is the no. 1 #diesel exporter in the world.
It has absolutely no reason to buy from Russia, except if to intentionally manipulate market prices by flooding diesel into the domestic markets.
Or to help Russia fire more jet drones into Ukrainian kindergardens and churches.
Aaaand.. There we go. Elon Musk announcing he’s in Vladimir Putin’s pocket too.

#Woke is a problem for #BigTech, because the only way they can get their shitty models to pass at a job that should be done by a human, is to completely ignore the racism, sexism and other biases inherently baked in and repeated by their statistical inference methods.
Hence, #racism and #discrimination has to become acceptable again, for the piece-of-shit #AI they are marketing as superintelligence to do a 'good job'.
#AI can do #programming, but it can't really do #SoftwareEngineering.
It can mimic software engineering to a point, but there will always be a crack where it falls apart.
Increasing the context size helps, but never solves it, especially for problems that need novel solutions.
Why? Because theory-free-inference does not have a world model. That's why your coding robot can't play a game of chess.
Would you trust a software engineer that can't play chess? 🤔
IMO the best page of ”The Nerd Reich” of Gil Duran.
The great betrayal of Silicon Valley:
They promised us great tools making our lives easier if we just gave them power.
But when they got that power they turned into apocalyptic fascists painting democracy itself as a problem to be solved.
All machines you build will eventually be put to use by fascism. Because fascism always comes back.
That we allowed the future fascists to convince us they would never do fascism with the technology they were building was how we got here.

“The Anthropic scientists [..] said that their A.I. had taken “the first steps of a biological discovery on its own.””
[Mario Rodríguez Mestre, a computational biologist] “disputed that claim. “They are the same systems we have been studying for years,” he said. And they are the same enzymes, he said, that he had described to Anthropic’s A.I.”

AI companies stealing people’s work and claiming that their AI is making new discoveries. How long before humanity stands up to these companies?

Post-Keynesian economist Steve Keen shows how the #AIBubble is related to all the previous overinvestment bubbles.
He’s got the models and the math to prove it, and it’s easy to follow.
But most importantly, he then goes and models also the hypothetical post-AGI market with huge job losses.
Keen shows, that if the tech bros keep insisting on current #Neoliberal models without #UBI funded by a government deficit, we might end up in a Hunger Games world.

If possessing #empathy really was a problem for human flourishing, evolution would be churning out people with fully diagnosable #psychopathy at a far higher rate than 1.2%.
What has happened though, is we’ve built a society rewarding psychopathy with money and power at every step, that’s left the empathically neurotypicals without money or power.
Then finally, the psychos got together and decided that everybody else is flawed.
This is what happens when you try talk about #israel or #antifa on #tiktok : instant algorithmic #shadowban

CHATGPT IS MADE OF PEOPLE!!!
Just like in Soylent Green the movie, insanely rich corporations are standing on the digital town squade, handing out tasty little wafers of automated text.
They tell us these wafers are made of neural networks, algorithmic synthesis, and the mystical synthetic plankton of artificial intelligence.
But LLM’s aren’t artificial intelligence. They’re our human intelligence fed back to us.

Strip away the escatology, and it’s just a .zip
Until there are tangible consequences for Russia, the attacks in Europe will continue.
Of course they wont attack straight. Of course our weapons factories will be sabotaged. Of course we can’t track down who’s flying the drones. It’s the best possible war strategy at this point. What are you? Stupid?
Right now what’s provoking Russia is our unwillingness to even name who is attacking us. If we want this to stop escalating, slap them hard when we even suspect!

The AI graduation speech they didn’t show you at Tech Bro Bootlicker Central!
”Fuck AI!”
”College graduation speakers across America are telling you need to master AI for the future. I’m here to the mission of your generation is to destroy AI. Kill it!”
”I think your generation’s battle won’t be humans against AI. It’s gonna be people with substance vs people with shallow knowledge. It’s going to be mastery versus faking it. It’s gonna be people with good taste vs tacky.”
Hear hear!! 🔥
2027 is going to be absolutely deadly:
- The current Super-El-Ninõ will have realeased it's heat from the sea into the atmosphere.
- Russia's war against Ukraine will have reached the point where some of the world's largest grain export terminals on the Black Sea could have been destroyed.
Scorching heat combined with global shortages of grains. 😔
As most other social media gets run over by bots, outnumbering humans many-to-one, #fediverse will continue becoming more and more attractive without doing jack. Keep going! 🙂
Putin’s police tells the youth protesting banning of the Yabloko anti-war party, that if they don’t disperse: ”They’ll be sent to the Military Kommissariat”.
That means they’ll be sent to Ukraine to die.
You see, Putin loves this war. The front is a gulag: That’s where you send inconvenient people to die. Ukraine does the killing for him. Sometimes they even take a village by accident.
Sorry, but I write:
void Class:stuff()
{
for (int y = 0; y < h_; y++)
{
for (int x = 0; x < w_; x++)
{
}
}
Not
void Class::stuff() {
for (int y=0; y<h_; y++) {
for (int x=0; x<w_; x++) {
}
}
I'm human, I need visual space for reading code. I'm faster with the extra line breaks and spaces. And we have huge monitors these days anyway.
