@craftcms i’ve been logging every change i make, every update, all using conventional commits in excessive detail because i know this is going to be a meaty blog post. i’ve been working on it for a few days now and it feels cathartic to claw back proof of my career from the oblivion of bad management choices.
i’m documenting the migration of the site from @craftcms as well. The site went 3 years without any stewarding, languishing in the purgatory of GitHub and an old export of the MySQL database, so before i could start the migration, i spent a good day updating everything to Craft 5, first.
And. Here. We. Go.
i have the old Oakland website archived from the day it was decommissioned, and have begun building the templates with astro@astro so that i can keep my proof of my 5 years of work as an entirely static site on https://furioursus.dev.
Tempted to use my spare https://queer.dev domain for a masto instance, because why not get some use out of a premium domain name and TLD?

Reviewing vendor code this morning like
I still have cishet friends that are uncomfortable using “poz” and “queer.” They associate them with slurs but they need to understand that their people are the ones that made them that way. Always use them when regarding me as long as you use them with reverence and respect.
