Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice UI/tool for sending HTTPS requests for dev/testing purposes ? A friendly UI wrapper around CURL, essentially. I've tried Insomnia but I don't really like it.

French words for streets as first names, with gender and vibes analysis:

Rue : good existing name, people will think you're American
Avenue : great name for an elegant and somewhat mysterious woman
Place : enby name, confusing
Boulevard : a name for an eccentric man. Odd choice, but why not
Impasse : the name of a woman who hates you personally
Chemin : non-binary gremlin
Passage : very mysterious enby
Square : 🟪

The way that software repos use the words "branch" and "upstream" suggests a certain confusion on how rivers work.

The government doesn't want you to know this but the ducks at the park are free. They know no law and obey no master. You cannot take them for they belong to no one; but if you are a good leader, perhaps they will choose to follow.

Attention robot readers (and other readers). I'm working on a robot conlang and interested in suggestions.

The concept is as follows: in a hypothetical future where robots have become widely present, they have decided to create their own constructed language (or conlang), better suited for communication between robots, and less burdened by the design requirements of making a language for humans. I want to imagine what that language would be, and, hopefully, to eventually design a functional constructed language which can be spoken.

This is not a programming language, it's a natural language, for communicating information to and from sapient beings; but designed primarily for robots and other artificial intelligences. It will also be speakable by humans. I already have a lot of ideas and design work done, but I don't want to share that until it's more complete, and I'd like to have some feedback and suggestions on the core concept that are unbiased by my own ideas and design decisions. That's where the reader comes in.

Questions that anyone who feels inspired to may answer: What are some features that this language should have ? What are some things it should be good at expressing ? What are some design guidelines it should follow ?
Any thoughts or feelings on the idea that the reader wishes to express ?

And, most importantly: I need a name for it. I am accepting name suggestions for a conlang designed for robot communications.

It's very funny to me that there's a demographic of men who hold the two political views that:
A) video games and movies are being ruined by wokeness and minorities
and
B) the free market is a fundamental force of good which necessarily result in things being better.
And the combination of these two beliefs simply cannot be reconciled with the idea that studios put minorities in movies and games because it's profitable to do so.

Like, ever time a game comes out that has a black character, or a woman they don't want to fuck, you hear the same refrain about how the game is going to flop and "go woke go broke" and surely the studio will learn their lessons and do better next time. They've been saying this for years now. You'd think that it would be easy to say "studios are making art I don't like because it's profitable", but no ! To them, admitting that "woke" art is profitable would be an admission that they are wrong. So instead, they have to convince themselves that Hollywood and the video game industry have fallen prey to some mass woke hysteria, where studio executives are choosing to loose millions on every release out of a sense of moral obligation to progressive activism.

I don't share my serial number publicly because that would be terrible infosec. manufacturers don't do any verifications when providing customer service these days. a serial number is all it takes to get one's identity stolen.

there's a lot of talk about swords. but if you're going to have a robot or a doll on the receiving end, I think a war hammer or a mace would be more appropriate.

I do not need to rewrite this code. I can leave it in the same messy, barely working state I found it in. I do not need to spend a week on this.
