I used to work in Opposition Research at Queen's Park.

I did some questionable stuff that I will not be talking about on here.

At no point would we EVER have considered stalking an opposition MPP or Leader internationally.

The hypocrisy of the #Ontario #Conservative Party to, at the same time, claim that politicians deserve privacy and that they cannot release Doug Ford's private phone records (on which he conducts public business which is against the law) while at the same time STALKING OPPOSITION MPP's INTERNATIONALLY!

It's telling that the constituency office for the Minister in charge of Child Pornography Dissemination - that is to say, the minister who is explicitly refusing to even endorse investigating Xitter over their generation of CSAM - is sending 100% of calls to voicemail rather than picking up the phone.

Call him, email him, badger him as much as you can to get the message across that anything other explicit and vociferous condemnation of CSAM is unacceptable, and showing even tacit support by continuing to use the platform is equally unacceptable.

Going forward, while Canada would need to continue the outward appearances of "negotiating trade with the US", our primary economic drive now needs to be even more comprehensively engaging with Europe on trade and defence.

We can't drop all pretenses of "friendship" with the US, but we do need to actively begin treating the US as a hostile adversary.

Do I think the #MarkCarney statement on #Venezuela was tepid? Yes.

Do I think that was necessary? Also yes.

Would I like a more forceful response, clearly condemning Trumps actions, absolutely! But that would simply call attention to ourselves needlessly.

I've become quite disillusioned in Mark Carney's leadership, but on this specific matter (responding to the #Trump illegal invasion of Venezuela and kidnapping of their dictator President) I don't believe it was in any way an inappropriate response.

- Eliminates #RentControl / Rent Increase Caps (from 2026 onward)

This will result in:

Given the bike lanes precedent, shouldn't be too hard to challenge this on constitutional safety and security of the person grounds.

There is so much data out there that speed enforcement cameras work to reduce speeds and make the roads safer for vulnerable road users.

Particularly galling is the fact that SEC's are only allowed in school zones in #Ontario, so the victims of this announcement are literally children.

But, children don't vote or 'donate' to #DougFord, so who cares about them!

Finally, SEC's (in Canada) are NOT a "cash grab". There are precisely ZERO municipalities that rely on speeding fines for their general revenue. This constrasts with the #US where many municipalities use speeding fines as a major source of revenue.
