Oh, es gibt scheinbar auch Solarziegel, die bei denkmalgeschützten Häusern genutzt werden können um Strom zu erzeugen. :blobhaj_smile:

A YouTuber called Ben Hoerman, published a video called "The New Aesthetics of Fascism", which I mostly agree to. It's shocking to see it summarized, though.

One thing that irritated me was, that #solarpunk was pictured as fascist for showing mostly white people, while diversity seemed to me part of the core of Solarpunk. I have seem many not white people in Solarpunk pictures. Did I miss a change in what Solarpunk is?

Why is there greenwashing of Bitcoin at the #38C3, claiming it would be good for the grid, while it actually is bad, because it adds additional load? There is no blackout because we have too much renewable energy. We can just switch it off. Instead with renewables there is too little at times, but bitcoin can't help there. It might "stabilise" electricity prices (by increasing them), which isn't a good thing and could be done by AI, hydrogen, etc., too.

@stefan

Is that true?

Interesting. Instead of directly making you send money to scammers, they now advice you to buy crypto currencies via their own apps, so they get the still the money, but you thing you are doing a good investment.

Can you Syntax Highlight a code snippet on the web without overloading the DOM with a ton of `<span>` elements wrapped around the tokens?

Thanks to the Custom Highlight API, you can!

The law process is maybe less of a conspiracy. But as they claim to use it against child pornography and even NGOs who fight child pornography are against the law, that's clearly about something else. The law isn't about children. It's inspired by Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher, who worked together with EU politicians to establish that law, so he can sell the scanning software his organisation Thorn has developed.

There are so many people who believe in conspiracy myths like the great reset. Can't we send them out against real conspiracies, like chat control?

The EU is planning to force the internet in the EU to scan nearly all communication, like WhatsApp messages, Threema, Signal, Telegram, etc. with a mass surveillance infrastructure. That is a real conspiracy to work against.

They also want to require ID/passport validation to porn sites, by the way.

The #37c3 talk "Numerical Air Quality Modeling Systems" provided an interesting insight into air pollution modelling using data from sensor stations, ship and car movement, industry, animals, living areas, wind and other data.

To go deeper into the philosophical aspects and a more theoretical video on what #solarpunk is, I would also recommend this video, especially the part of @alxd is great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca0pwDFXSZk&t=3320s

An interesting, emotional introduction video to #solarpunk is "How Solarpunk Fiction Envisions a Better Tomorrow | Video Essay" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSaXAsi8XAY
