Naming stuff is hard sometimes

Probably should’ve just used Vue for this but I refuse so it’s alpine for interactivity

Ok bits and pieces slowly starting to come together. I can’t go off the wall because it’s meant for more than just insane me. But I can at least have fun with it

I think I have some ideas for admin UI. Im gonna go for more depth/texture rather than flat like everything else everywhere. I want it to have some personality while also being easy to use

I like a lot of my temp elements already. But overall it feels to generic so I’ll focus on what I hate first

Ok giving up on code tonight. The ripe old hour of 3:30am. I need some sleep

Mmm multi-conditional fields. I sure like flexibility

I’m not sure what else to build right now. I think everything is set for an actual website? Maybe??

I mean I know what stuff I want to add but it’s not “essential”. Like I don’t NEED a baked in API to start using it

Things already ruining my morning:

- Furbo and its shitty dark patterns and attempts to trick you into subscriptions with an accidental click, and 5+ to cancel

- How shit CraftCMS 4 is on mobile to even just look around. And how often navigation just breaks randomly

Tinkering with stuff that’s making me smile

I swear gmails spam filters are just broken. I get at least 3 obvious AI scam emails a day in my inbox and maybe 1 in my spam box

Anyway I have 8 cats in the house now since picking up 4 more semi-feral fosters. And Meepy is on my face trying to suffocate me. It’s a good morning

I’m not pro-ai at all, but people have really shitty, privileged takes on not using it sometimes

“Collaborate if you lack the skills!”

Like that. F*ck off with that. I have been trying for over 10 YEARS to hire someone to help me make a Minecraft mod and every time I pay money, they fall through, and I walk away with nothing

I’m glad everyone else seems to have friends to supplement their skill gaps. Most don’t. Every single time I have to just learn it myself. I don’t want to know Java. I don’t want to write Java. I don’t have the time to learn another whole all skillset. But because I literally can’t even pay people to do a thing, I had to do it myself anyway

I would’ve loved to be able to use a machine to fill that gap. Not at the cost of the current LLMs and big tech theft. But as a technology/tool that shit would’ve saved me a ton of money people just screwed me out of. And many don’t have any extra income to even make that attempt

Don’t be a privileged cunt

First commits for the new thing. Only the actual working code none of the WIP stuff. I don’t need anyone seeing how often I break stuff before it works

I’m both excited for this random thing I started doing, and dreading that it’ll be a migraine

TrailMix

That's it. I will provide no further context at this time

I’m glad they did a forum at all. That’s a win. I just wish it was “yet another generic discourse site”

Apparently mastodon launched an official forum. Its discourse. Gross

See that’s the thing I actively avoid communities using discourse and stuff because I find the experience of using it just absolutely terrible. It’s noise. Nonstop noise from the second you show up. And even if I want to participate, the thought of being stuck using that kind of platform I just check out

Shame apricot wasn’t out yet when that was decided. Ah well maybe next time

Ok code down time. I need sleep

I forgot to actually post it, but I have a new craftCMS plugin in beta right now that's a replacement for redactor

It acts the same, uses the same config format (and will read your existing ones), and has a command to convert redactor ones to the new plugin when they're both installed, so you can remove redactor after

And its not redactor based. Sometimes we just want a nice richtext editor. Not whatever ckeditor is doing

Gave up on the terminal theme yesterday. Not forever but while I got a proof of concept going, I wasn’t having fun with it. And felt my time was better spent on another project I had been sitting on till apricot was done

Why are my cats so cute and distracting now I don’t want to move because they’re being adorable and lovey
