Deepest apologies to all who received my unintentional spam-fest earlier today. I hope you didn't block me (although I wouldn't blame you if you did).

The encoder on my Owncast site failed to work which caused OBS to keep retrying to start the stream (without visually notifying me unfortunately).

Posts are triggered by obs stream status changes which is what caused the spam 🤦‍♂️

Ah! Apparently I need something plugged into the internal IDE bus for this to work now. Might be caused by 3.2.3 or by the newer hide.device

So my #amiga 1260 is not booting up when the RTC module is plugged in. I’m pretty sure this used to work before so I wonder what I’ve forgotten to do this time…

Changed the battery just in case but no dice.

The C64 Ultimate is awesome. That is all.

The C64 one is out of stock for the first batch so I got myself a little portable #meshtastic radio to experiment with.

My self-hosted mail server is working 🥳

I ended up using postmark as an stmp relay to deal with IP reputation for the server.

It all seems to work fine now. Time to move my emails over from icloud now.

@rygorous @aeva I for one still think that coding IS the fun part and that learning is the goal. It’s what drives me and what feeds my soul.

There are a lot of people like us. The demoscene (just came back from revision) for example is only made of coders coding for coding’s sake. As an art. They are also a great bunch to hang out with.

@rygorous @aeva But unfortunately in anything related to an actual profession (games, web, etc…) it probably will continue to be filled by slop and people who don’t respect the craft, who see it like the tedious part that should be optimized or skipped.
