reading is massively important and it shouldn’t be more or less accessible for anyone

defund paw patrol

ai will never accidentally drink the paint water, so therefore can never be a true artist

kids would make me miserable. cats don't.

why are people with kids so fixated on the idea that people without kids are so unhappy and that kids are needed for a happy life?

ideal date: we go to the library/bookstore and pick out a book for each other and then read them while existing in the same space

things that i need people to stop assuming:

- everyone online is american
- everyone who plays cozy games is a woman
- everyone who reads romance, particularly fantasy romance, is a woman

wake me up when the fat bears get here

dear authors who use ai slop covers: i would genuinely 100% prefer the ugliest ms paint / poorly done photoshop job / a literal smear of shit on a piece of paper over an ai cover

switched to kobo from kindle and honestly very happy with my decision. kobo+ doesn't have as many titles as ku but there are still plenty of good ones AND there is no limit on how many kobo+ books you can have at a time, i love being able to get ebooks from my library since kobo has full integration with libby/overdrive (kindle australia does not), and kobo just feels a lot more cleaner / user friendly in general

give me all your favourite #bookrecs! looking in particular for:

- romance
- fantasy
- queer
- magical realism
- sci-fi
- horror
- any combination of the above
- subgenres are also fine
- no ai covers or i'll blast you into the sun

i wish we could normalize people minding their own business

“i don’t take sides” followed by silence is still taking a side

i really love not being able to look at the store page for a game that i fucking own because i don’t have a credit card

i love little cultural differences, like how a lot of americans are super offended by the word cunt, but here in australia we’re super offended by school children being slaughtered with automatic weapons

raccoons and foxes are trying to self-domesticate, they've seen what cats and dogs have and want their part

if you paid for a zoo ticket and can’t find the animal because it decided to fuck off somewhere out of sight- good. animals don’t owe us a performance because we paid admission

so true beastie [we are laying in a field of dandelions and i am petting your massive snout] [you are 30 feet long and i love you]

quit your job

join my band of idiots

why are people so weird about the concept of non-alcoholic adult spaces
