Paging @shadychars

A power outage in #Georgia has impacted Internet connectivity across the country. @cloudflareradar shows traffic dropping ~75% below expected levels around 20:00 on July 23, and @IODA shows losses across multiple metrics.

Connectivity problems with the Microsoft Azure westus region are visible in the @cloudflareradar Cloud Observatory as an increase in connection failures, starting around 14:45 UTC.

The shutdowns in Iraq are implemented by having network providers withdraw announced IPv4 and/or IPv6 address space, effectively removing them from the Internet.

Exam season in #Iraq started today, and with it, widespread #Internet shutdowns. Connectivity was cut across multiple major ISPs between 0300-0430 UTC, though networks in the Kurdistan Region remained available.

I was one of the 1100 impacted by yesterday's layoff at Cloudflare.

Thankful that I had the opportunity to work on Cloudflare Radar over the past 4+ years, evolving it into a trusted industry resource.

Would love to continue working with #Internet data in my next role. Have interesting data? Let's talk...
