@thunderbird Are there any updates regarding Thunderbird Sync? The latest news I can find are from August 2023

Currently investigating how this new Safari Tech Preview (TP 186) feature came to be...

But yay👏 I more than welcome having a better looking checkbox or toggle (or however you wanna call it) on the web.🫣

Looks like the related spec discussion started here: https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/4180

And it's really simple too!
Just put all the styles you want to animate/transition in a pseudo-element!
(doesn't really matter if you choose ::before or ::after, you need to adjust the z-index anyway!)

Why should you animate a CSS pseudo-element on hover and not the element itself?

- it just looks better
- you don't have these annoying hover glitches 😷

This works beautifully with both boop-animations and regular hover-animations!
