In the spirit of being my generally bonkers self, I also set out the " chaos garden". All of the leftover saved seeds went into a bag, got a good shake, and thrown out willynilly on a fresh dug strip. Tomatoes, peppers, garlic, and a few different squash. Will fun to see what grows!

So, question time again. . . The job I am trying to get would require occasional use of a personal laptop. I have an Alienware M17 R1 that needs a new keyboard and disc drive. I am pretty sure I am capable of the repairs, and the parts are available and affordable. Problem is, it's a Vista machine. Can it be retrofitted with one of the open source operating systems? I don't want to put money and time into it if I'm stuck with Vista.

I also need to drop a resume today, and do not have anything prepared, totally blindsided on this one but trying like hell anyway. Anyone have advice, or maybe a template?

It's not a gimme, I have to compete for it, and one of the principals let it slip that they already have it narrowed down to four candidates, and I would be the fifth. I haven't tried for a job in a lot of years, been working for myself for way too long, and I have no clue about how people promote themselves for work situations. I have this weird notion that a few messages might help. If you don't mind, and have a minute, I could use all the help I can get.
