"Free speech"—the phrase itself betrays the shopkeeper's soul! As if truth were a commodity to be distributed without cost, as if the word that transforms could be uttered from the comfort of the herd. The speech that matters—the speech that cuts, that overturns, that creates new values—this speech has never been "free." It is purchased with exile, with poison, with the cross. The weak demand freedom to speak; the strong ask only whether they possess the courage to pay what speech demands. —TSN

First draft of the first chapter of my in-progress book, Mastering Rust for Java Programmers, is available for download at https://drive.proton.me/urls/VZ3500TSQC#SyGRF4i6Uemv.

This first draft contains the first spiral of the book, divided into 5 parts on printing in Rust.

Overall the book will contain 12 "spirals", covering the entire Rust grammar and as much of the API as feasible and sensible in a book of this caliber. #rust #rustlang #java #programming
