I saw the Broadway cast, with Tim Curry, as a teenager at the fox.
I saw a later cast, I can't remember where.
i saw an amateur cast in MD.
all of that was more than 10 years ago. I might go see the current cast.

Should I go see spamalot again?
Spent half an hour this evening burning gameboy cartridges, so I can ship some games tomorrow.
Ideally, the thing would have USB-C power input and HDMI output, but could run MS-DOS
I had an idea, but it means I need to find a modern mini PC with legacy bios emulation so I can run a legacy OS on it.
Anyone have experience doing this recently?
software is a mirror that reflects the times and the environment it was created in.
this is why much software created in the 1970s counterculture was joyful and humanistic, and why much software created in the 2020s capitalistic hellscape is soul-crushing malware (adware, spyware).
#retrocomputing can mean celebrating hardware limitations and creative coding, but it can also mean celebrating personal computing - computers that are tools for liberation - bicycles for the mind, not cattle trains to the slop farm.
ATTENTION Gameboy Developers!
If you have made a game for the Gameboy or Gameboy color (either in #GBStudio or using other methods) and you're interested in doing a cartridge release, please reach out to me!
We currently produce cartridges for two of my Gameboy Color games. You can see some photos of what the cases and manuals look like here: https://www.mountaintowntoys.com/product/jupiters-ghost-away-mission-gbc-cartridge/
I'd like to get other indie gameboy games onto cartridges, and help distribute them to the (currently pretty small number of) independent game stores we're working with.
Shoot me a message and we can talk logistics.
Alternately, if you've released a game that will run on any of the #Gamedad style devices, but especially the Anbernic RG35XX series, and you'd like to do physical distribution of that game, also reach out.
I've come up with what I think is pretty cute packaging for that kind of thing, which I will probably finish and show off sometime this month.
That means NES, SNES, Playstation, Dreamcast, etc are all on the table.
I'll talk more about that in a few days when I post the finished art.

Or uhh thread.
Yeah, thread.
Alright, one last post before I turn in.
The hardest part of doing the gamedad (which Sundog was gracious enough to do on my behalf) is probably re-assembly, though the disassembly didn't look super easy either.
Technically, we don't have to fully dismantle the thing to print on it, but we run the risk of damaging the buttons if we don't remove the shell before printing.
The results are good enough that I'm looking for other Gamedad style devices to customize, so if you have a favorite Gamedad style device, and especially if you know of one that's easier to assemble and disassemble than the pictured RG 35xx model, please let me know!
Of course, that's the cover art from The Mysterious Air Pirates (an original fiction magazine I write about a ragtag group of subversive adventurers in an alternate 1920s that avoided WWI. It's available in print from Mountain Town Toys: https://www.mountaintowntoys.com/product/the-mysterious-air-pirates-volume-1-issue-1/ )
It was way too much work to make, but I really love my custom #gameDad
@MountainTownToys and with that...I can go to bed haha. Finished on the road. Ill merge bits and upload tomorrow.

@ajroach42 @MannycartoonStudio @MountainTownToys Welcome aboard Manny!

HI Manny, welcome to the Fedi. Sweet grumpy robots ;)
Y'all give a big fediverse welcome to @MannycartoonStudio
Manny is an illustrator and toy designer who does some occasional (hopefully more frequent soon) work with us at @MountainTownToys including some modeling and character design and various illustrations.
Manny also does his own design work, including a whole world of little space guys, and the most adorable tv-chested robot you'll ever see.
He's good people.
We spent the better part of the weekend together and he lamented the performative, "carnival barker" nature of corporate social media, so I invited him to join the fediverse for something a little more authentic, where real people will see his work. Y'all give him a follow and go check out his work.
