Working Copy is celebrating 12 years on the App Store.
To mark the occasion the pro unlock is now permanently cheaper: 29.99 instead of 35.99 in US dollars and euros, with similar cuts in other currencies.
If your pro unlock is more than a year old, upgrading brings every pro feature added since. Until November 13th the upgrade is 9.99 instead of 17.99, and after that it settles at 14.99.
The new Working Copy beta lists pull requests from GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket, lets you comment on lines, submit a review, merge and close.
The diff analysis is deterministic and runs on your device: changes that only touch whitespace or rename something are folded away, so you read only what really changed.

Working Copy 7 is out with improvements for iOS 27.
The repository agent can now use Private Cloud Compute, with strong privacy guarantees and no API key required.
Shortcuts actions can also run much longer, so Fetch, Pull and Push no longer time out on large transfers.

Words suggested while writing commit messages have come from a Markov model since 2017, built from public GitHub commit messages.
I am now experimenting with a 5 million parameter transformer model which also runs entirely on device. Test users can switch between the two with the gear button to the right of the word suggestions, and let me know which one you prefer.
Join TestFlight beta to test new feature for automatically committing, pulling and pushing a repository which can be triggered with Shortcuts automations or run in the background efficiently looking at changes to repositories.
The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference has ended, and so will the discount on the Pro Unlock + Upgrade tomorrow. Don't miss this once in a l̶i̶f̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ year opportunity, and tell your developer friends so they don't miss it either.
A one-time purchase gives you permanent access to all Pro features available now or released within the next 12 months. Features released after that need an upgrade, but the earlier ones are permanent.

Apple does not ship the new iOS 27 Siri AI in the EU but Working Copy should still support this. As an EU developer I cannot test it myself and need help.
Working Copy users on iOS 27 with access to Siri AI are highly encouraged to try the latest TestFlight and report back as described in the release notes.
Pro Unlock is 15% off to celebrate the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference.

Like all previous years I’m hard at work adding support for new capabilities, starting with allowing Private Cloud Compute for the repository agent. Available to iOS 27 users in the latest Working Copy beta.
Working Copy has a new pro feature that makes it easy to rewrite history and switch between your author identities, for a single commit or an entire branch.
Available to anyone who unlocked or upgraded within the last 12 months.

Working Copy 6.8.0 has a new agent mode you can hook up to Anthropic, Google, OpenAI and custom (Ollama) LLM endpoints for natural language Git stuff.
You won't be vibe-coding without a compiler or way to run tests, but it can be very useful to ask when things changed and have the agent check commit history or make small edits.

Latest beta supports using OpenAI Pro or Max subscriptions to power this.

Working Copy has a custom LFS implementation as the official one requires a shell environment and golang.
It has taken a lot of work but I’m finally able to clone LFS repositories that run entirely over SSH as introduced with LFS-3.0:

Pushing still needs some work.
Next update will show transfer progress when cloning, fetching, pulling and pushing after leaving the app on iOS 26.

Working Copy launched eleven years ago today.
I’m celebrating the first 27 thousand commits producing 313k lines of Objective-C and 62k lines of Swift by discounting the Pro Unlock which can be yours for $30 instead of the regular $36.

I'm a little late but beta testing is starting for the iOS 26 version of Working Copy.
Help me iron out bugs while taking advantage of the new powerful menu bar on iPad, the ability to open files in other apps with in-place editing and the liquid glass design.
Working Copy is a large app with a lot of functionality and I wasn’t able to complete a iOS 26 version for day 1.
But I expect to have something ready next month matching the Liquid Glass aesthetic where the main menu on iPadOS 26 will be the most substantial improvement.
This weekend after WWDC is the last chance to upgrade to all pro features at the discounted price and a great time to support a long time indie app.

Trying to prompt the iOS 19 on-device LLM into compliance.
