May I introduce you to Aperio, my fully accessible, cross-platform calendar/task manager? You might have missed my first announcement, but if you're rather into listening to quick and dirty demos rather than reading up on things, here is one for you, its especially quick, although not quite short, and dirty one, but maybe it gives you an idea of what it does and how it works.
Since the loss of an important and deeply missed member of the REAPER Accessibility core team who was mainly responsible of Mac testing and development, tools like RABBIT or OSARA have mainly be developed on Windows, with occasional testing on Mac if the chance came up. That however leads to Mac keymap support and feature testing for OSARA and other tools kinda falls back behind Windows. So, if someone thinks of selling their M-series Mac, we might be interested. Feel free to get in touch.
Fire Emblem Three Houses with accessibility mod? Yes please! Can't wait to replay the game I played with my partner back in the day about 7 years ago, just around the time we moved into our first own flat. And now we're looking to move again, and i'm going to play it again, this time on my own though.
RABBIT 0.4.3 is out. This time a bunch of fixes and QOL improvements went in. Also, we now got an expert mode that allows you to install bleeding edge test builds for REAPER and OSARA. If you don't think you are an expert, this is most likely not for you, as we don't give support for anything that breaks.
Also, this release wouldn't exist without you, particularly @TheQuinbox and a few more testers and devs who contributed their time and knowledge.

Maybe a hot take, but: if all you do is develop tools with the help of AI and you don't know anything about the code itself, why it works, what it does etc, you aren't a developer, but more like a product owner. Thats usually the person who knows the products and gives orders, but doesn't know anything about the internals. But it also doesn't sound as cool as it sounds to say that you are a developer now.
That is the perspective from a person who's got a different oppinion from a substantial different group. The other perspective is that of a person who does have the same oppinion than most people in their timeline, in which case, social media becomes a circle jerk. Throw your oppinion out there, wait for 10 people to support you, and noone stepping up to state a different oppinion, because they are worn out already, see post 1. Sometimes it feels like I'm growing to old for modern social media.
Sometimes social media feels like a political discussion with your family. On some days you can bare being the one person who's got a different oppinion than everyone else in the room, on other days, you cannot. Except the family on social media is way bigger, you can't take all the time you want to express your oppinion because of limited characters, and there will always be someone interrupting you while you're talking. And you don't know them all, nor do they know you.
You have to love when people call real problems of real people propaganda. If that isn't propaganda I don't know what is. And believe me, we germans know pretty well what propaganda looks and feels like. Its actually part of our history. A pretty big part in fact.
ReaLackey beta version 0.4.0-beta.1 is out. I need testing on this one, but be aware that that means that you should expect it to not work as expected. It contains support for transcription providers, e.g. whisper.cpp, and a new cut-by-text editor which allows you to walk through spoken text word by word and cut words whilst keeping audio in sync. I'd be happy to get feedback from anyone who feels adventurous enough: https://github.com/Timtam/ReaLackey/releases/tag/v0.4.0-beta.1
If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to contact me directly via email. I would be happy to answer any questions.

Thank you very much for your support!
Headphones are recommended for the best listening experience.
Please note that some sounds may take a few seconds to load. If you do not hear anything immediately, simply wait a few seconds and press the button again. And please make sure that your device is not in Silent Mode, as the audio may otherwise not play.

For this purpose, I am looking for voluntary participants who would like to take part in a short user study. No prior experience is required.
During the study, you will listen to different audio concepts for various whiteboard scenarios, compare the different versions, and give your personal feedback and preferences. You can listen to the audio variants as often as needed. The study also includes a few short tests in which several events are combined and you will describe what you noticed.
A student of mine is testing audio feedback for digital whiteboards. Call for testers in this thread — boosts welcome!
For my Bachelor’s thesis, I am investigating how the use of audio feedback can improve interaction with digital whiteboards. The goal is to make digital whiteboards more intuitive and accessible and to explore which forms of audio feedback can best support users in understanding and navigating events on a whiteboard.
My very first two-page idea paper got nominated with a best paper award back in march, but now I sent in my first long research analysis paper (roughly 30 pages). Can't say I love writing papers, I don't. One could say I hate it with a burning passion. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. One more stone on the path to achieving better accessibility, let's hope it isn't all for nothing.
@jcsteh Hey there, I have a person here who encounters stuttering with App2clap sometimes. Is there a way to add a sample buffer of sorts that obviously increases latency, but makes sure the audio stream is more stable in case users encounter something like this more frequently?
RABBIT 0.4.0 is here. It includes some more update fixes for Mac users, so i'm afraid you'll have to download it all new. In addition to that, we now got Spanish as a language option as well as support for REAPER language packs and reading the changelog of included packages (if supported / maintained). Also Windows defender now got special treatment.
Go give it a spin, the included updater will fetch it for you, or you can get it from here: https://github.com/Timtam/rabbit/releases/tag/v0.4.0
We got ourselves an AC. Its quite heavy, we had to handle it together, but now we're pretty happy. Its August, and we're finally prepared for Summer I guess.
Hey blind browser modders, is there actually an accessible way of using Tampermonkey? Last time I checked the extension to load/install/whatever scripts was really annoying to use. Is there a better extension that does accessibility better? Its annoying to develop js scripts to improve website accessibility in an extension that itself isn't quite accessible.
