There's two of them. When I do one, I feel warmed up and don't want to stop. The first one is based on reference. The second one is from imagination.
A friend came over and we made art together today ✨

The same White House where the president claims "I want to stop the killing", is now helping Putin kill even more Ukrainians.

@autistics Being neurodivergent can be a boon, if you use it to free yourself of this contagion.
So that's all. That's all I have to say about the epidemic of loneliness. Become what you long for. Provide what you seek. It's worked wonders for me.
Single mums or everyone with responsibility and in a tight spot for survival have no time to cry or complain, they have to strip themselves of everything that wastes energy. It can be a very healthy exercise it turns out. We should all learn from anyone that has less privilege then we do. Including plants, animals and the earth. We'd be free of any loneliness in no time. Deep connection would be restored to human society.🧵 4/4
@autistics I don't think men will ever heal from their loneliness unless they are stripped of female resources completely. And they are kicking and screaming right now, and suffering very loudly. But I don't think they are on the right path, trying to get their needs met. By something outside of themselves.
That experience taught me to be authentic. To just be my true self. And this deep sense of connection arose. with all living beings, with the universe, with everything that resonates with a sense of aliveness. Which is everything.
This kind of consciousness is not being rewarded in our world, but it carries its reward in itself. We have chronic emotional problems in our society because there is a reward to being this way. Because patriarchy demands it, women are in pain from low self esteem, anxiety and co dependency. And because patriarchy demands it, men are disconnected. And cruel. and lonely. How else could they be what they're supposed to? It's so simple. And because capitalism demands it we all have forgotten who we are ,one with the universe, that feeds us and literally breathes us into existence. How else would we exploit the biosphere to its near death?
So We are all good kids by following the unspoken instructions and playing it safe on the social ladder. Being rewarded with the power to consume.
And it makes sense. kind of. 🧵 3/4
@autistics Now, let's not talk about relationships , that would be futile because our relationships when we are young pretty much mirror the problematic aspects of our upbringing plus our longings.
At some point I got pregnant. With a very neurodivergent child. Also hyper-empathic, as it turned out. And now I was forced to learn something. I was forced to learn how easy it is, to create new realities. It was plenty easy. While the environment tried to make it hard ( single mom, poverty, stress, extreme lack of sleep ) The reality of our relationship was making it incredibly easy. There just was so much love. And connection. And freedom. As we were just by ourselves. Freedom to create safety, empathy. An ocean of sensitivity, dignity, respect, and ultimately, love.
And while the time wore me down in many ways, because of stress from outside factors, it healed me. I experienced myself as the provider of all the things I may have felt I was lacking while being a child myself.
And this is, I believe, a standard female experience. The lack of personal responsibility for babies and children is a huge contributor to males never growing into providers and never healing and bandaging their pain with toxic masculinity always hungry and bound to exploit.
So. I found my magic wand of connection. Not through wanting it but through providing it. Through discovering it as something inherent in me, As my human DNA. And I'm just sharing it, because loneliness is such a problem for neurodivergent people. It didn't happen all of a sudden. But I feel through the love I felt i became the naked me. And because our situation was often dire, I was stripped down to the bare essentials of who I am. And I looked in the mirror and I saw what I really am made of. And all the imagery of deficiency or fear or disconnect was gone.
That's how it worked. 🧵 2/4
So, what's the solution to loneliness.?
I find that the feeling of loneliness is common among neurodivergent people and I am no stranger to it. I remember my childhood and teenage years were very lonely. And yet, I rarely feel that way anymore and if I do it's not for more than five minutes. And why is that?
I had a conversation on here just the other day that made me realize this change and take stock of how I really feel about being connected nowadays. And how I got there. And how very gendered our emotional experience is. My story is the story of a person that did not expect any emotional services from anyone ever but was raised with the assumption that females are providers of such services, bound to nurture others. Which is pretty normal, I believe.
I did of course grow up feeling lonely . How can such an assumption not cut you of f of your true self and thus make you feel that way? It also goes without saying that emotional relations within my family were not very healthy. It was a very patriarchal family.
Also, I was a very neurodivergent child. And hyper-emphatic. And hyper-intelligent.
So... different. Not fitting in.
As a female hyperempath, and lowest in the family hierarchy, I felt I carried the weight of all the pain within the family system. But also found it very hard to find resonance for my way of sensing and perceiving reality with people I met along the way. 🧵 1/4
@autistics
First, why should you give me the time of day? :bear_shrug: Despite being Japanese, USian, and Indigenous North-American, Eastern European geopoli is a special interest of mine :frog_blush:
So I've been watching and hearing various things about Russia's bot traffic from "down 99%" (technically true but that's mostly scrapers, not propoganda bots) to "it did nothing" (entirely untrue from various data we have from the last few days) to "people jumped at the 99% down as a way to absolve themselves and their country of supporting regressive, anti-social views" which, while true, paints a distortion of the current sitouation and how RU propognda works.
First and most importantly, RU propoganda works by taking what already exists in a society and amplifying it, not trying to create something from whole cloth. It gives people permission to be installed about holding certain views, bolstering their morale and giving movements a facade of more support than they actually have. Separatist movements that get stroked after a good example of this, and so are wedge issues (usually bigotry). It's usually done by amplifying three voices of those already holding views, by agreeing with them or giving useful idiots' voices more reach.
While we haven't seen a 99% collapse in propoganda bots, neither have we seen no effect despite some reports about the number of posts by Russian outlets. There seems to be a heavy downswing in the views and support non-Russian yet Russia-supportive media, as well as a consistent decrease in Russian bots that bother youtubers who deal with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and other topics inconvenient to the Kremlin.
From what I've been able to piece together, this makes sense: what was hit recently seems to have been infrastructure for Russia's native genAI/LLMs, which is one of the easiest ways for propoganda bots to create massive amounts of low-effort slop.
And no, Russian propaganda bots aren't responsible for all of the strife in other countries, and there will always be a third who wants to kill a second third while the last third is content to watch and do nothing (though I think the proportions are more like a quarter, a quarter, and a half), the decrease in propoganda activity we've seen so far over the last few days will mean that bugotry will get less reach, and unpopular opinions will feel more proportional to their actual support because there will be fewer bots to amplify those fringe views convenient for the Kremlin :eevee_joy:
If you have questions, I'll do my best to answer them :hug_love: (or correct/clarify anything that doesn't make sense, I suppose)
