@kellylford Hi Kelly, I just snagged QuickMail and set up my Outlook account! I'm enjoying it so far! 2 things I noticed though. When I added my account by signing in through oauth, and gave QuickMail access, QuickMail told me "signed into my email address" but as I tabbed around to explore, there was still the connect with microsoft button, as if my account never connected. I went through auth again, just in case, but just like the first time, that connect button was still there. I completely closed out QuickMail and restarted it, and my messages came in. Also, I tried going through the keyboard tutorial but JAWS did not announce anything such as the keys it wanted me to press. For example I press control + N, and JAWS reads out "You pressed control+n, try again".

Blind folks who ride: which Peloton bike is best for a blind person? It needs to fit in a small bedroom. How usable is the screen and app with a screen reader? Would love real experiences before I spend the money. #blind

Oh Yay! FastSM RW now has push notifications on iOS! Thank youuu! :) Good morning all, Happy Sunday!

I Just wanted to say that I used ghostWriter Markdown by @Marconius on iOS to write my AI watermarking Substack piece, and I love it! The fact that you can get confirmations when you type something like a link is so useful when you're just typing away! But my favorite feature is the 3 finger horizontal swipe to move between headings! It makes navigating a large document way easier if you don't always have a bluetooth keyboard or Braille Display on you.

My writing may soon test positive for AI. I’m blind, I write with a Braille display and tools like Claude, and the ideas are mine. New essay on watermarking, assistive tech, and why AI was involved tells you nothing about who did the work:

If this piece carries a watermark, then the mark and this paragraph are both telling you the truth. Only one of them can tell you what it means.

Anyone on Roads Audio and have any cool groups to join? I just got the iOS app.

Claude Code 101, for Designers. This is an introduction to understand what Claude code is, with lots of definitions of its basic concepts.
Whether you use AI or not, I think it’s still quite nice to understand what it’s about, and the main concepts around it. By Yaron Schoen

"Why should we prioritize making this accessible?"

"The short answer is: because people have civil rights. The long answer is: because people have this thing called 'civil rights', you cunt."
