Well. I lied.

I’m sharing a final (promise!) update today as I just finished the third repeat of the main motif (the big diamond shape with suns next to it)

This motif is a major PITB to make, so I’m glad I never have to make it again!

It’s all down hill from here and I hope to finish the whole thing (dreaded double border also!) this week, so the next update will really be when it’s finished!

Which Tomytronic 3-D did you have?

I had Thundering Turbo, and it was one of my favourite things, ever!

Fun fact: the LCDs were lit by natural light coming through the top of the device. If I took too long on my turn my brother would put his hand over the top to make me crash 😅

I 3D printed this fly swatter gun for LOLs but surprisingly it actually works!

My wife and I have taken out 10 or so flies with it!

You have to get quite close to them but then it shoots out at such speed it’s guaranteed to stun them, if not outright kill them.

The only reason I’ve stayed up until 1 AM playing Splatoon Raiders is because I have to get up at 06:45 AM and go to work.

Little story:

The postman picked up my old passport and the Royal Mail lost it for a while, they eventually found it and delivered to the passport office…

Today I got a text from the Royal Mail telling me that my new passport was sent to the wrong sorting office and is now being rerouted!

Six weeks after starting, I just finished row 121 of 242, so officially 50% done and now it’s all downhill from here!

Spent a couple of hours backing up an SSD with CloneZilla.

Then I went to copy the backup to my NAS, but instead I deleted all the backup files.

Don’t ask.

I even ignored the “these files are too big” warnings and just clicked through them, not realising what I was doing.

Friends, please allow me to share with you a recent #music discovery, that being the album Rósín Machine by Rósín Murphy.

You might not recognise the name, but she was the lead singer of Moloko, who had a huge hit in 1998’s “Sing It Back.”

This solo album from 2020 is a house disco masterclass.

My wife wandered into the room while I was playing Sword of the Sea.

“Oh,” she said, “you’re playing Journey again!”

Can’t say I can blame her 😅

This chart on the estimated cost of the #NHS between 1949-1950 really fascinated me.

Everything about it is just a perfect time capsule of that era.

This is displayed at the Science Museum in London, which is, in my opinion, the greatest Museum there, but is sadly overshadowed by the NHM nearby.
