Saving the world the classic ttrpg way: With a band of absolute disaster chaos gremlins going off the rails

Untitled Cthulhu Game remains maybe my favourite game I've ever written. An intricate horror investigation about foiling cultists of the Great Old One Shub-Niggurath with a long and complicated history, *absolutely none* of which the players give a single FUCK about because they are geese. Horrible geese.

Turned into a bit where I had the troll wander about shouting "TROLL MAKE MILLIONS ON BLOCKCHAIN"

the kids are, in fact, alright

D&D kids: how stupid is that troll?

Me: oh, he's VERY stupid.

Kids: I cast Illision and distract him with ai slop

Can anyone point me to that old meme of an anime woman laughing with her hand under her mouth, and in a speech bubble above her is some diagram of a chemical made entirely out of OH and HO groups?

Driving me mad looking for it and my search history is getting increasingly weird as a result...

Maybe even "You are a dream-copy of someone who is real. Everything you are belongs to someone else." That'd be a trip.

I'm thinking of messing with the D&D kids; the campaign started because a wounded beholder summoned them out of its dreams to help fight another beholder, and they all assume they were plucked from their full, storied lives somewhere else.

But they haven't considered the possibility that they weren't real at all until a couple of days ago and are all literally the results of a dying beholder's brain in its death-spasms.

They're all about 11 years old, I think they might just get a kick out of a little existential horror...

Anyway the tan one is Gus-Gus and the grey one is Ella and I love them

Just out of shot: a wee little set of stairs so they can get on/off the couch easily 😭

Gods, I love it when you meet a dog for the first time and their immediate instinct is to mob you and lick your face

lmao

(no shade towards tumblr fans, it's just the first website that comes to mind when I think "extremely horny for goblins" and I love you for that)

Looks like *someone* regrets scraping every single post off tumblr without checking

Oh, the Onion finally got full control of Infowars. Time to turn more than just the frogs gay, one hopes.

A few weeks ago, when the BS CEO bragged about everything being made with Claude Code, I commented "must be why it's always broken", and every time the website shits itself, someone leaves a little like on that post and so I know I should just avoid the place and do something else for a couple hours. Most useful post I ever made there tbh

Bluesky is down again, is it? My goodness. It's almost like bragging that the whole site was vibe-coded was a *very stupid thing for the CEO and devs to do*

Tried Dwarf Fortress yesterday. A cloud of magical dust turned the whole expedition into zombies before I was even halfway through the tutorial 10/10 amazing experience

Of all the time I spend thinking about the *incredible* writing in Disco Elysium, this one response takes up at least 90% of it. I think we should all employ it more often tbh

Takes less than a minute to fill out, but I cannot stress how important this is.

Ireland's trial of a basic income for artists has been an *amazing* lifeline for SO MANY creatives, it would be utterly criminal to let it die now.

Anyway, is that expected behaviour from a .ogg file?
