My daughter is clearly the target demographic for this dreadful fake "reality" show. I suppose it's better than letting her watch more of "Vivant," a Japanese drama very much for adults that includes lots of violence. (My partner is obsessed with this drama, and I am low-key hooked myself, and my daughter's curiosity has been piqued to the point that she has watched the first three episodes.)

As a rule, I don't cry over celebrity deaths. I didn't know them. They aren't my friends or family.
And then there's Dolly.
It's not the music, it's not the films, it's not the esthetic. It's not even the contributions to the research that led to a COVID vaccine. It's the Imagination Library. My house is full of those books. My kids grew up on these books, often moreso than the ones we shelled out for. They loved getting books from Ms. Dolly.
