TIL `git fetch origin main:main` will fetch updates *and* apply them to your local main branch, even when on another branch.
No more checking out main, pulling changes, checking out feature branch, and rebasing on main for me!

Next week Chrome 108 gets released. Together with support for the sv*/lv*/dv* Viewport Units there's also an important change landing to how it resizes the viewport on Android.
Before Chrome 108 the layout viewport would get resized in case the on-screen keyboard got shown.
As of Chrome 108 it will no longer resize it, aligning itself with Chrome on other platforms + Safari.
By means of a viewport meta tag extension you can opt back into the old behavior.

One thing that’s a bit of a hassle with Mastodon is that you can’t immediately follow people on other instances.
You have to copy the username and search for it on the server that has your account.
To make this easier, I’ve created a little bookmarklet. Press it, and you’ll be taken to the same account as viewed from the masto host you are on.

(Change the value of `MY_MASTO_HOST` in the code to your mastodon host –not URL– and you’re good to go)
