Hosting in NZ?
My domain is due to renew with SquareSpace in 10 days. While not as urgent my site is built and hosted with them too. I want to get away from US and onto something local. Who does the #NZFedi suggest for this?
I'd ideally like someone else to do the migration of website too. Its a very simple site, just a 'billboard' of a few static pages.
Here's the result of last Summer's contract. A bloody impressive battery-backed EV charger prototype, even if I do say so myself ;-)

Must do office work. I'm at a conference tomorrow and need to decide what message I'm trying to give, what work I want to attract. More interesting design &
build projects of prototype machinery for the energy transition would be good. How to summarise that in a snappy way?
Far more interested to get a portable battery built to take and plug into a forklift I'm seriously considering buying. If I can power it up I can test it and then I can make an informed purchasing decision.

The 'almost' is because rather than scratch about in various pots of old nuts and bolts for the right ones to attach batteries to frames, I chose to be professional and buy the right ones. The hardware store supplied less nuts than ordered and the correct number of washers but the wrong size-too small. F*^%$#!!!
Two ~600kg BYD E6 batteries (almost) mounted to a frame. Hard work, good work. This is about 120-160kWh of storage total. The batteries are from ex-Singaporean taxis which had done about 250,000km before crashing (the cars, not the batteries). I've owned a couple and seen plenty of 400,000km taxis with over 80% SOH so I think these batteries are likely to be plenty better.
The plan is coming together...

I'm feeling a bit like Sarah Connor in Terminator 2. I'm looking at the World like we're already dead. Nobody's taking the warnings seriously, we're all dust. Unlike that film, the future isn't written. But today I'm feeling it may as well be.
Personally the sad thing is that faced with our own destruction I don't even have anything wild I want to do to go out with a bang.

l'll charge $0.50/km if its on my way and $1/km for distance that's out of my way-FYI the quote I got for getting the car trucked down was $1k!
