@AbandonedAmerica Time to focus on the future. I foresee a series called, "Abandoned Data Centers"
You'll get your steps in (or get a golf cart now).

And of course it's Fall, and the U.P. colors were peaking...
None of these pics captures the in-person color experience, though. Blessed to be there in person.

I'm back from a week's worth of driving and exploring with my wife. Just under 1400 miles logged. A very long awaited #vacation, somewhere in the 21 year range.
Where can you drive that many miles, see things you've never seen before and stay in the same State?
A: #Michigan.

Wait. You're only following 94 people? And you're toot-begging so you can hit your personal goal of 5,000 followers? That's a very 'all about me' stance and a wee bit lopsided.
I enjoy an occasional 'follow', because I get the chance to see if that person might fit my Mastodon feed.
The Fediverse ain't no popularity contest.
I will die on this hill.

7 days without a pun can make one weak.

Here is the fly-over link to the our nearest Data Center (about 35 minutes away). They've named it "The Barn." How cute!
It's not just the water, electricity, and noise my friends. Collectively we are burning through thousands of ACRES of farmland.

Hey @cheeaun how'd you score today? This was more of a puzzle-putt. I had to restart 4 times (!), but then I got par.

Happy for our Mastodon friends in Europe who are able to experience a total #eclipse of the sun - the first time in 20 years. Your pictures are great!

The clarity of this 360 image is crystal clear.

Approximately how many music CD's do you own?

Spotted this today behind a gas station. Keep in mind I live in South Eastern #Michigan. I've never seen this before, growing wild in these parts. I wonder if I can make a starter 'clipping' from one to take home?

I used to subscribe and use #Readwise (Reader.io). It was pretty ground breaking for highlighting and saving bits of articles etc. I wasn't using it to its potential, so I ended my subscription awhile back.
They've been quiet with any email updates, feature additions, etc. for like 8 months.
Today I get one and every new Public Beta 'improvement' revolves around #AI. Surprised? 'Ghostreader' is one of them:

"Ghostreader now indexes every word of every document and can instantly generate cited answers for you across your full library. Beyond just answering questions, however, Ghostreader can also help you triage your inbox, organize your library, and act as a full-powered reading assistant for you."

When you're riding on a train but can't see the tracks ahead of you. Freaky.

Any postage stamp collectors in Michigan out there. I have two boxes full of stamps that my father collected over the years. Some are in albums. Many loose in envelopes. People traveled and sent him stamps from all over! I need to find them a home with a collector that will enjoy going through them.

My wife who loves - and makes delicious soup(s) - was powering through a second day of rude people while staying professional from behind the pharmacy counter. She can't say what she'd like to - until she gets home.
But on her lunch, she found a tee-shirt that serendipitously summed things up.
