@alice Just wanted to say, thank you for cultivating such a wonderful space for discussion. Since following you and starting to engage with the space your posts and moots create, the quality of my social media interactions here has gone up by varying amounts pretty much each day… sometimes "significantly", but sometimes "by leaps and bounds".
👏 😌 🌱 💗
Close to four years old, but it seems prescient for the still-being-ignored warnings about setting "ai" loose without meaningful human oversight.
(Such as health insurance companies using them to generate denials. )
It finally crystallized for me, that I have a weird sort of religion (if you could call it that).
After decades of chasing after happiness (even at the cost of others' happiness), if I have one core tenet it's this: Above all, safeguard the happiness of others. Empower them to find their own.
And never, NEVER try to gain happiness that can only be had by taking it from someone else.
Funny thing is, I'm far more happy and at peace now than I was in all those years of chasing it. 🙃
Migrating from @MySideIsHumanity@mastodon.cloud , or at the very least a much-needed backup given that instance's woes.
