Bore da bydoedd!
Good morning worlds!
We are going out today, but for the life of me I can't remember where.
It is somewhere south, near Carmarthen direction with classic cars, I think.
Sue says it is the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.

Good morning worlds!
We are off to Llanerchaeron today to meet up with a friend, and to deliver a small solar PV panel.
No idea what else will happen before and after that.
I might just sleep.
We are at Aberporth.
We've had coffee, and now Sue is going for a....
Ooh look, Squirrel!

Good morning worlds!
Our view from the bedroom window, this morning.
No idea what we'll do. We're on hols!
I have booked another house viewing for Thursday, though.
Here's a thought...
Midge is an early MG5 EV and so has a slow charger that doesn't communicate well with some public chargers.
There are people doing electric car conversions who pick and choose batteries, chargers, and motors form different cars and make them all work together.
Is there anyone who has changed an old charger/charging system for a modern charger that is faster, communicates better, and offers vehicle to load/grid options on an older EV?
🤔
That would be the sort of thing that would mean I wouldn't be looking for a replaement EV that can be a house battery back up in emergencies.
Repair cafe done.
*Edit: First repair was one of the tables at the village hall. It has been a while since room users broke one.*
I fixed a sewing machine, a bike, and a door key. I also supplied some screws, some advice, and recommended that it was worth finding a blacksmith to make the replacement hinge for a 100 year old pine box that the client's father made when he was a teen.
Had a good visit from relatives, they removed a load of stuff to save us doing it.
I have rebuilt the trailer coupling, and changed the wipers on Scout.
I think I can have a rest now.
Flu jabs acquired, and Mum also got her Covid jab, too.
Frustrating that we can't due to our age.
I have also been figuring out how to get all my tools in the car for Repair Cafe, now that I have a full size spare wheel under the boot floor.
It is annoying that the spare wheel well is so shallow, and yet there is loads of clear space underneath for the wheel well to be 3 or 4 times deeper!
The well is so shallow that there is a thick polystyrene insert to lift the removable floor high enough just to clear the space saver spare.

Good morning worlds!
We are off to get flu jabs, with Mum, at the GP's walk in clinic.
Then we are off to Boothstown repair cafe.
When we get back, relatives may well be here so we have an afternoon of socialising with family. I will need to borrow some spoons from tomorrow to cope, I think.
I might have to do some work on my trailier, to get some time out.
Shopping done.
Window cleaner called.
Damper removed from trailer coupling, it had snapped!
New damper ordered.

Good morning worlds!
We are taking Mum shopping this morning, and then I need to try and fix the trailer coupling, phone my pension provider, phone a Leicester window cleaner, and figure out what else I can pack to take to storage.
It is gonna be a bit busy today.
Edit: I also need to pop over to the tyre shop to get three more tyres to match the one we had to get for Midge on Friday, after the motorway blowout.
I am looking for some advice on how to fix this book dust cover, please.
The matt film that is on the paper has been peeling up along the top ang bottom edges.
Is there any fix I could try?
I was thinking of carefully trimming off the loose film and sealing the edge with matt clear nail varnish.
Bad idea?
Other options?
Thank you.

Good morning worlds!
We are going to Levenshulme Repair Cafe this morning.
I am not taking my tools due to a hefty bash on the head that has made me research concussion.
The physical effort to move my tools wouldn't be a good idea.
So I will be an adviser for the others, and help where I can, even if it is only triage or tea making.
Later I want to see if I can do something sensible with some of the crap in my workshop, and plan the next load of stuff to go to Wales.
This is interesting, and worth a watch.
First aid kits for makers and workshops.
We've done the B&Q trip to pick up some silicone sealant, and a silicone applicator tool. Then went to the bank to work out why they think a regular payment to the Council for home care is sudently flagged as fraud.
It is because the Halifax Bank is now Lloyds bank and the app is useless.
We then went into work to do the snagging tasks, and then cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning.....
Just got home, and exhausted.
I have set my out of office on my emails and phone. They are on their own until next Thursday.

Good morning worlds!
I feel rough today, tired and headachey from having all the windows closed last night because it was cold.
I feel like I have been struggling with this since getting Covid.
Anyway, I am off to mee Sue at work in a bit, and then we'll pick up some silicone sealant and my tools and pop into my work to do the snagging.
We can then clean up all the mess and everything that the contractors left.
I am looking forward to the end of today, tbh. when I can get back to bed. Then no work until Thursday as we'll be in Wales from Monday.

Good morning worlds!
We are going to the community workshop this morning.
I am going to see if I can dig out enough of the right kind of wood to build a small pallet to put my lathe onto, for transport.
I have castors for it too so it can be wheeled about as well as lifted.
I will need to check in on the kitchen install at work, but hopefully not slow the contractors or get in their way.
They may get to finish today and the electricians can return for second fix.
if 'IF' it doesn't rain I need to get up on the conservatory roof to replace the flashing.
There are friends who you see need help with something that leaves them out of their depth, but they keep saying no to any assistance and muddling through on their own.
But then they expect you to drop everything to trailer transport (in at least two trips) twenty-five 63kg paving slabs they have just ''acquired', without any though as to how to move them with their car, nor that other people might need notice, and time, to do such favours.
I have said 'No!' because this isn't the first time!
Relatable?
Oh yeah!
Edit: How many times have I just listened to this? I should have it as a ring tone, if I wanted people to actually call me!
At Repair Cafe I:
...fixed a problem with a sewing machine. Operator error.
...failed to fix a CD player. I couldn't get the circuit boards out as the wiring was soldered after assembly, and the boards soldered to the chassis. Someone else will have a go.
...sharpened two pairs of scissors.
...repaired a toy N gauge locomotive. The battery wiring was broken (and fake copper), and the motor was seized solid. I replaced the wiring and rebuilt the motor.

Good morning worlds!
We are loading up all the tools and heading over to Boothstown Repair Cafe for the morning.
This afternoon we are going down to Stockport to look at, and hopefully collect another trailer mover.
Then we need to finish loading, sheeting, and strapping down the trailer for another Wales trip tomorrow.
