Anyone have advice on how to resurrect a dead Kobo e-reader?

Blargh, I think my Kobo is dead. I don't use it enough, so it loses it's battery until like a year later when I want to use it again.

I've been trying to charge it all day with different cords, even used a portable charger pack (which ticked down saying it put like 40% of it's battery into it). The light doesn't turn on to signal it's charging and the screen is just black with white letters and battery icon saying it needs to be charged. It's been charging more or less all day (at least 8+ hours)

Anyone know of any novels that are about a woman seeking revenge that follow her as a protagonist? Thinking something in a Kill Bill vein, but open to less severe or violent versions of this.

Every recommendation I found while googling is either like a teenager pulling pranks or the woman seeking revenge as an antagonist or the killer a detective discovers later. Not many that I could find that follow a vengeance quest in the way movies do.

It’s really concerning how many establishment democrats in California have allegations of sexual harassment and assault against them, or verbal and psychological abuse, from former staff.

Eric Swawell left his race, thankfully, but Katie Porter has made jokes about verbally abusing her staff and the leading Lt. Gov candidate, Fiona Ma, had to settle a sexual harassment claim for hundreds of thousands of dollars just two years ago. And all of these people have been part of the establishment political machine in the party here.

I figure it’s a consequence of the party having A LOT of power here, there being a political machine that often can really push which candidates are likely to get office, and not enough challengers that can really threaten their offices. It has really undermined accountability over the years, and a system of power without enough accountability enables this kind of stuff. Ugh.

Also, when going for someone that well armed, don’t aim for center mass, aim for the head or legs or something that’s likely not protected.

That said, I do love how body armor isn’t invincibility mode in this movie. John gets fucked up when shot in the vest.

Also, I don’t know if they count bullets, but they do a good job of making it feel like this isn’t infinite ammo and making him reload in a more realistic way.

Important lesson from rewatching John Wick: when you are approaching a corner with your gun drawn, and you suspect the person you’re fighting is on a given side, DO NOT stick close to the wall closest to them such that your gun will be in the open before you have line of sight.

Like, 10 different guys could have probably killed Wick or at least not been incapacitated immediately if they had just approached along the other wall making sure their gun and line of sight matched. Or gone around a second car nearby rather than the one he was hiding behind.

Then again, these guys were stupid enough to kill his dog, so I suppose they aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
