And I’ve often fantasized about having a cool tiny secret restaurant with amazing meals like in this video. Places like that are my absolute favorite to find. Places that are even hard to find again, they just appear, if you are lucky, like the magical places they are.
This YouTube channel of a couple who share their life renovating their akiya & exploring rural Japan is such a peaceful welcome to my week. This week’s episode has them exploring “Ogre Island” & it just looks like Paradise to me. In it, there’s an old school repurposed for creativity & community the kind of mixed use space I’ve dreamed about & want everywhere. It makes me happy to see it IRL. A single community place to connect, learn, teach, make, show, sell.

This whole thread is a treasure trove of information from Osa on getting you doing ceramics now!
Thank you, Osa!
Unholy hellhound Steven Miller as Chief of staff is going to have everyone currently working there to want to leave more than ever, I think. Does anyone like or respect him? I pity the next press secretary. Never mind. No I don’t.
An important video.
The electoral college can be abolished. Dems finally have the numbers.
They need to make it happen. It can happen before 2028.
Make it so! Push your representatives.

Kegsbreath’s video is just “I was just following orders” shifting blame and accountability to Trump. He could have recognized his absolute incompetency for this position, but wanted to kill people indiscriminately which decimated Americas military and jeopardized its security multiple times. He should have been fired and jailed back in early 2025 when he shared classified information on Signal about a strike that put troops at massive risk.
I am not seeing a single video or post that wants Schumer or Jeffries. But everywhere I’m seeing calls to remove them from those party leadership positions.
Everyone is so mad at them both. Everyone sees them as the quislings they are.
🧵rant
It is infuriating me that Schumer & Jeffries are taking any credit at all, and basking in the light they did not have in themselves. The win was despite their not helping. Despite excoriating progressives for doing what they were too craven, compromised, and cynical to do. The nerve! And no credit or humility or honesty or gratitude to those progressives is to be found. They did not face the attacks. They did not help those being attacked…
If you don’t follow The Luncheon Lawyer you are missing out. She’s funny, smart, a lawyer, and mostly talks about criminal cases and trials. I really appreciate her POV and the way she delivers it all.
Her recap of last night is 🔥 and genuine LOLs. https://youtu.be/xy-N-WH2Nuk
Omg. This morning was like one of those days when you wake up early, go to school or work, only to realize it’s the weekend once you are there.
I had an appointment to renew my photo id card, went downtown, got to the clerk who was doing it for me, when she tells me it’s 2028 expiry, not 2026. I misread the 8 for a 6. Why does the text have to be so small? I could have slept in after being up all night. Ugh.
Going to rest a little easier now Dems won house and senate and Leticia James is still AG of NY.
Dems flipped so many seats everywhere.
This Canadian is grateful Americans mostly passed this test.

Supporting living artists is also #activism. Doubly so, when the artist’s work is about climate change, like these on reclaimed fabric & parts of the painting shown burning. 🔥

🧵UPDATE! & edited re 🦷 costs.
I really felt cared for by all of you tonight. I won’t have any issues meeting my dental costs thanks to the generosity of friends & strangers and so many who shared this post. You all make me feel a little safer & supported in this world. 🥹 Its a rare experience for me. ❤️ Thank you so much.
Will keep this thread updated, pinned, & at sale price.
Paintings are grouped by price & size, highest to lowest. Info & Prices (CAD) in alt text. Boosts appreciated.
Here’s one of the multibillionaire mining players from Australia looking to extract from #Canada without regard to the cost to environment or Indigenous, or all Canadians and our security for that matter for their exclusive power & profit, damn the consequences, and she won’t take no for an answer. Yeah, it’s a woman.
Capitalism is rape culture for profit. Seige Warfare. Abuse of power.
Resistance is fruitful.

It’s not worth the cost. Canadians and Americans need to fight it.
It is not sustainable or what we need to meet climate change.
These bills are deceptive, the jobs minimal, temporary, & destructive, the damage enormous. We need a better vision & plan than hitching our future to backwards models & solutions. Instead, they are ignoring consent to rape the earth & take away resources and rights. https://youtube.com/shorts/f7Ftv8w7o_s
