@Tamami Are you doing rainwater collection? With the lack of snow pack this winter, water is a greater concern in Utah. I'm exploring my options.

@Tamami Does he have a point? Shamisen hits different.

@kristiedegaris

I hope you had a good holiday. Amazon finally let me write a review.

Five women helped me to reset my life this year.
- My therapist
- My doctor
- My boss
- My wife
- You

Again, I finished "Drystone: A Life Rebuilt" by Kristie De Garis @kristiedegaris. In this inspiring memoir, she rebuilds her life like she rebuilds a wall as a dry-stone waller: each stone carefully placed. Heartbreaking yet courageous, her sincerity makes the book both painful and hopeful.

None of us are too broken to begin again. Rebuilding is possible, even late in life. Sometimes the most radical act is simply telling the truth about who we are.

@welshpixie What's this I read about Welsh drag queens playing Cardiff Lions RFC for children's charity? So cool.

@welshpixie Do you have a suggested monthly contribution? I'll be reworking my subscriptions at the end of the year and Mastodon provides me value.

@Tamami Thanks. I wish I was there. :-) I miss seeing your your work in person and I miss your bright personality.

I got a pleasant suprise in the mail today! I didn't expect this until Aug 7. It made it halfway around the world from the glens of Scotland to the mountains of Utah. @kristiedegaris

What could this be? @kristiedegaris

I just pre-ordered @kristiedegaris book Drystone: A Life Rebuilt

She is a strong, smart woman who I admire greatly for her grit and courage. She has taken the hits that life gave her and is still standing - fierce, and lovely.

Being a first time writer is so hard and pre-orders are very important to her success. Please take a moment to look and consider pre-ordering today. https://birlinn.co.uk/product/drystone/

For @Tamami and @jlam. Help me find my color renaissance this spring!

For me, it's got to be @Tamami but I really love @jlam too.

Owning original art is like owning a piece of someone’s creative DNA. It’s not just a painting—it’s a moment, a mood, a conversation waiting to unfold. ~ Amanda Carol Eck

Who's that one painter that you really, really, love?
